is as efficient and easy as in the first , and the Everton Lodge under his Mastership is ono of those Lodges in tho town that Ave never tire of visiting . The impression produced at our first visit to the Lodgo is unchanged to-day , and it is with great regret AA ' say that there are too foAV Lodges Avhich work so admirably as the Everton , in the ritual of the Order , and in the harmony that prevails . The

Lodgo Avas then lowered to tho first degree , nnd on the Worshipful Master retiring for a feAV minutes , Bro . Wilson occupied tho chair . In pursuance of a notice of motion , Bro . Cottrell P . M . proposed , and Bro . Holland seconded , that a sum of twelve guineas be voted from the funds of the Lodge to purchase a P . M . ' s jewel for the retiring Master , Bro . Honlding . Carried unanimously .

The ballot was now taken for tho election of Worshipful Master for the next twelve months . The result Avas the election of Bro . H . Ashmore to that high office . Tho ballot Avas next taken for Treasurer for the same term , but previous to tho vote being cast , Bro . Holland proposed , and Bro . Bagnall seconded , the re-election of Bro . Lunt , and the brethren , as well as the Worshipfnl Master , paid

a high tribute of praise for the very able manner in which Bro . Lunt had fulfilled that important office . On the ballot being taken Bro . Lunt was unanimously re-elected Treasurer for the ensuing year . Bros . Callow and Gibb Avere elected Auditors for the samo term . Bro . Callow proposed , and Bro . Carefull seconded , thafc a sum of money bo voted from the funds of the ! Lodge to defray the expense of the

annual picnic . Bro . Lunt proposed an amendment , to tho effect that they have a picnic , but each brother pay his own expenses , so that more funds from the Lodge might go annually to the Charities . The amendment Avas . seconded by Bro . Bees ' ey . A lengthy discussion followed , and eventually Bro . Callow added to his motion that each brother

defray his railway expenses , which gave satisfaction . Other matters relative to tho picnic wore discussed afc some length . Thero were two votes of money from the funds of the Lodgo for benevolent purposes . The Lodgo was then closed , in harmony , and tho brethren adjourned to refreshment .

M . for the ensuing year took place ; Bro . Flanagan was elected . Bro . Stransom , Avho was absent through indisposition , was re-elected Treasurer . Both announcements Avere received . Avith acclamation . The

Worshipful Master elect returned thanks for the honour conferred upon him by the Lodge , and nominated Bros . W . Eidley , Ferguson , and Newman as his Banquet Stewards . Bro . Hemmings was re-elected Tyler , and returned thanks . Bro . Newman , having given notice , now moved , "Thafc the sum of twenty-five pounds per annum bo offered to the Lodge of Union , 414 , as a rent

unanimous choice fell upon Bro . W . P . Evans to fill that important office . A pleasing feature of the evening Avas the presentation of a jewel to Bro . J . A . McMahon J . D ., on his leaving England for New Zealand . The jewel Avas presented to thafc brother by tho members of the Lodge , as a token of thoir fraternal regard . A P . M . 's jewel was voted to Bro . Cooper on his retiring from the chair . There was

a good muster of brethren present , and among the visitors were Bros . T . Marwood P . G . J . W . West Lancashire , J . E . Goepel P . P . G . Director of Ceremonies West Lancashire , and several W . M . ' s and Past Masters of Liverpool Lodges . The business of the evening being ended , the Lodge was closed , and the brethren adjourned to refreshment .

WeysideLodge , 1395 . —The installation meeting of this Lodge was held on 11 th inst ., ab Woking . Bro . Street W . M . was supported by his Officers , and a large attendance of members and visitors . After the confirmation of the minutes , Bro . J . H . Parker Wilson was installed into the chair . Bros . Tyler and Lord Onslow were

appointed S . W . and J . W . respectively . Bro . Charington having resigned the office of Secretary , it was unanimously resolved that he be presented Avith an appropriate testimonial , in the shape of a jewel It was also resolved that a vote of thanks be recorded toiiim , expressing the regret of the members at his resignation . Edgar , & c The usual formal bnsiness having been disposed of , the Worshipfnl Master initiated , in his accustomed efficient ; and impressive manner , Messrs . James Francis Kelly , Abraham Williamson , and Charles James Gibbons into our glorious Order . Tho labours of the evening being ended , the Lodge Avas closed in duo and ancient

form , and the brethren , by command of tho Worshipfnl Master , adjourned for refreshment to tho Wynnstay Arms Hotol , where tho brethren were catered for by Bro . Murless . After the removal of the cloth , the W . M . proposed the usual Loyal and Masonio toasts , which were cordially received and duly responded to . A pleasant evening was spent , and tho Tyler ' s toast brought the proceedings to a close .

Permor Hesketh Lodge , No . 1350 . —The regular monthly meeting of this Lodge was held in tho Masonic Temple , Hopestreet , Liverpool , ou Tuesday , the 11 th instant . Present—Bros . W . H . Cooper W . M ., J . M . Bennett P . M . S . W ., W . P . Evans J . W ., T . F . Cooper Sec , C . P . Tithorly S . D ., J . A . McMahon J . D ., E . Carruthers SteAvard , E . Thomas I . G ., P . Ball Tyler . The minutes of the previous

meeting having been read and found correct , the W . M ., in his usual capable manner , initiated Mr . II . B . Browne and Mr . William Charles Eiches into Freemasonry . Tho Lodge Avas then worked to the third degree , and Bro . T . H . Allbut was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason . Tho Lodge Avas then lowered to the first degree , and the brethren proceeded to elect a W . M . for the ensuing year ; the

unanimous choice fell upon Bro . W . P . Evans to fill that important office . A pleasing feature of the evening Avas the presentation of a jewel to Bro . J . A . McMahon J . D ., on his leaving England for New Zealand . The jewel Avas presented to thafc brother by tho members of the Lodge , as a token of thoir fraternal regard . A P . M . 's jewel was voted to Bro . Cooper on his retiring from the chair . There was

a good muster of brethren present , and among the visitors were Bros . T . Marwood P . G . J . W . West Lancashire , J . E . Goepel P . P . G . Director of Ceremonies West Lancashire , and several W . M . ' s and Past Masters of Liverpool Lodges . The business of the evening being ended , the Lodge was closed , and the brethren adjourned to refreshment .

WeysideLodge , 1395 . —The installation meeting of this Lodge was held on 11 th inst ., ab Woking . Bro . Street W . M . was supported by his Officers , and a large attendance of members and visitors . After the confirmation of the minutes , Bro . J . H . Parker Wilson was installed into the chair . Bros . Tyler and Lord Onslow were

appointed S . W . and J . W . respectively . Bro . Charington having resigned the office of Secretary , it was unanimously resolved that he be presented Avith an appropriate testimonial , in the shape of a jewel It was also resolved that a vote of thanks be recorded toiiim , expressing the regret of the members at his resignation .
