BOARD OF BENEVOLENCE .

npHE Board of Benevolence met on Wednesday evening , at Freemasons' Hall , London .. Bro . D . D . Mercer P . G . P . presided , having Bro . 0 . A . Cottebrune P . G . P . as Senior Vice President , and Bro . C . J . B . Tijou P . A . G . P . as Junior Vice President . Kecommendations of grants to the amount of £ 60 made last

month for the approval of the Most Worshipful Grand Master were confirmed , and during the course of the sitting the Brethren , dealing with thirty-two new cases , awarded dE 50 each in three instances , £ 40 in five , £ 30 in four , £ 20 in nine , £ 10 in seven , and

gave £ 5 to one petitioner , or a total sum of £ 725 between twentynine petitioners . The further consideration of two petitions was adjourned until the November meeting , and one petition was dismissed .

The Lord Mayor-elect will be the guest of the Alliance Lodge , at their installation banquet , on Tuesday , 15 th prox . Baron de Bush is the W . M .-elect . 000 It is proposed to alter the night of meeting of the

Brondesbury Lodge of Instruction , No . 26 9 8 , held at the Earl of Derby , High Road , Kilburn , to Monday , in consequence of the regular meetings of the Mother Lodge ,

the Cricklewood , Walpole , and Royal Commemoration Lodges being held on the Wednesday evenings , many members of those Lodges attending the Instruction Lodge .

The Prince of Wales Grand Master has granted a Warrant for the formation of a new Lodge of Mark Master Masons at Windsor , to be designated the Windsor Castle

Lodge , and Viscount Valentia , M . P ., Past Grand Warden and Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of Berkshire and Oxfordshire has arranged to consecrate the new Lodge on Monday , 24 th inst .
