New Finsbtury Park Lodge , No . 1695 . —The regular meeting of this Lodge was held on Tuesday last , at the Finsbury Park Tavern , nnder the presidency of the following Officers : —W . T . Purkiss W . M ., Eldridge acting S . W ., T . Press J . W ., II . B . D . Dnnn S . D ., R . C . Frampton J . D ., Verry Tyler . Tho business con . aisted of raising Bros . James Newling Thompson , Georgo David

Edmunds , Thos . Crane , and George Benjamin Carey ; this was ably performed b y Bro . Linton Raynon Rogers , who , at tho solicitation of the W . M ., occupied the chair ; upon the Lodge being closed the customary banquet followed , which was well served by Bro . Joseph Pigott . After the cloth had been removed the set formula of Loyal and Masonic toasts was proceeded with . Bro . Rogers , in responding

to the toast of tho Visitors , acknowledged the honour he felt in having been allowed to perform the work in the Lodgo , and assured the brethren snch mark of appreciation would be long remembered . Bro . Constable also replied ; he congratulated tho brethren upon the selection thoy had made in their W . M . ; something more than mere parrot-like repetition of ritual was required of a W . M . ; Bro . Pnrkiss possessed all those good qualities which should characterise a Mason ,

and he hoped that steps would be taken by the brethren to acknowledge the gift of three handsome mahogany pedestals which had been presented by Bro . Purkiss . In reply to his health , submitted by Bro . Rogers , tho W . M . said that although ho had been twenty-one years a Mason , he had never previously taken any active part in the duties of a Lodge ; he now found himself occupying a position of which he was justly proud . He had tho pleasure of representing tho Lodgo as Steward at the recent Festival of the Eoyal Masonio Benevolent

Institution , and took up what might be considered a fair sum for so young a Lodge . The reason he had not been more pressing in his solicitations was , that he intended to be Steward for both the Boys ' and Girls' during the present year , and hoped the brethren wonld not fail to support him upon each occasion . Tho Officers and Secretary replied severally to tho toast of their health ; we

congratnlate these brethren on their efficiency ; to Bro . Eogors , tho Preceptor of tho Lodge ol Instruction , is to be attributed this feature ; his painstaking care can bo testified to by all who know him . The following were present : —A . J . L . Walker S . N ., W . Grist P . S ., Comps . S . F . Cattorson , A . L . Annett , F . Buckland , N . H . Cohon , TL Lovogrove , P . Wagner , T . Cull . The ceremony was rehearsed , Comp . H . Lovegrovo candidate .

Tho Minutes were then read , and tho officers appointed for the next fortnight . Comps . F . Brown to be Z ., Sorrell IT ., Grist J ., Wagner S . N ., and Cull P . S . Comp . Henry Lovegrovo , of the Eoyal Jubilee Chapter No . 72 , was elected a member . The Chapter was then closed and adjourned .
