Consecration Of The Hadrian Lodge, No. 1970, South Shields.

CONSECRATION OF THE HADRIAN LODGE , No . 1970 , SOUTH SHIELDS .

ON Friday , 15 th iostaut , the interesting ceremony of consecrating the Hadrian Lodge , took place in the Freemasons' Hall , Fowler-street , South Shields , in the presence of a very numerous and influential gathering of the Craft , nearly tho whole of the Lodgo 3 of the two Northern Provinces being represented . The Masonic Hall had been recently cleaned and re-decorated by Mr . Lasher , of South

Shields , and when set out with the new furniture of the Hadrian Lodge , presented a striking and tastefnl appearance . The Hadnnn Iiodge is only the second formed in the borough , and was called into existence owing to the large member roll of the old Lodge ot Sr . Hilda , No . 210 . For the purposes of tho Consecration a Provincial Grand Lodge was held , and the Lodge was opened and raised by Bro . E . D . Davis P . P . S . G . W . Durham and P . G . D . C . Northumberland ,
