New Hall At Blyth.

NEW HALL AT BLYTH

THE scheme for building a Masonic Hall at Blyth is now progressing satisfactorily , and on the 13 th inst . elaborate plans were laid before the members of the Blyth District Council for confirmation . The site for the building is mosfc central , being situated in Beaconsfield Street , Blyth , and was kindly granted on favourable terms by Sir M . W . Ridley , Bart ., M . P .,

Provincial Grand Master . The plans , which have been favourably received by Bro . Aid . E . H . Holmes Deputy Prov . G . M ., are most carefully and artistically designed . On the basement are provided a news room , smoke room , and club room , with caretaker ' s apartments , whilst on the first floor will be a most commodious Lodge room , with two ante-rooms and offices . The building will be heated by hot water pipes , and ventilated

by Boyle ' s patent ventilators . Special pressed bricks will be used in the building of the hall , and the front will be embellished with terra cotta facings . The windows will have camber arches , and the sills will be moulded in terra cotta , and carried along from the elevation and around both stones of the bay windows . The front elevation is mosfc artistically arranged . It is the intention of the building committee , consisting of Bros . W . T . Eichardson W . M ., ' Edward Forster P . M ., James Carmichael
