I was educated afc King's College School , London , and Sidney Sussex College , Cambridge , and took the degree of B . A . in tho Mathematical Tripos 1879 . ( M . A . 1885 ) . Shortly after quitting the University . I was appointed Mathematical Master in Truro Grammar School , but retired from that position on being called to the Bar , in 1881 , since when I havo practised , up to the present time , and havo been engaged in tho compilation of more than ono legal work . In Masonry I hold tho following positions—Past Grand Steward ( Eng . ); W . M . Tuscan Lodge , No . 11 ; P . M . and Pounder West Kent Volunteer Lodge , No . 2011 ; SecretaiT tnd rounder Argonauts' Lodgo , No . 2213 ; J . Asaph Chapter , No . 1319 ; P ; d ; Georgo Prico Chapter , No . 209 ( 5 . Member of the Board of General Purposes , and Lifo Governor Royal Masonic Institution for Boys . I havo for some years been Hon . Secretary of tho Langton Masonic Bono-¦ volont Association , through which between £ 1300 and £ 1100 will , in four years , have been subscribed to the Masonic Charities . GOLDSMITH was initiated in the Chislehurst Lodge , No . 1531 , shortly after its consecration in 1875 , and remained a subscribing member till 1881 , when he joined the Gallery Lodge , No . 1928 . in this latter Lodge he served all the offices up to that of W . M . Ifc was while holding this office , and three days after the election of his successor , that he died , on the 15 th November 1887 .
