By virtue of dispeusatiou granted by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Lord

Fortescut-, Drysdale , Waring , Bishop and Wilson were passed to the second degree . Ton fresh propositions were received , for initiation and joining . A banqnet afterwards took place , which wa 3 all that could

The UHUUI Loyal and Masonic toasts were proposed and honoured , interspersed with somo capital music , vocal and iustrumontnl , by Bros . ON Thursday , the 8 th inst ., the members of this Lodge held their annual celebration of St . The chaivman , in a short address , proposed tho first toast , the Queen and tho Craft , whioh WBB drunk with a heartiness , and followed by all joining in the rendering of "The National Anthem" and "The Quoen a : ' d the Cnift . " Tho vice-chairman's name was coupled with the toast , he replying in > m able aud eloquent speech . The Three

Grilled Masters having beon proposed , " God Bless tho Prince of Wales" was well rendered by Bro . Mills , the chorus being taken up by the assembly , and the toast duly responded to by the chairman . The toast , The Provincial Grand Master of Down ( Bro . Lord Arthur Hill , M . P . ) had an ablo rospoudont in Bro . W . J . Miller P . M . Sec , who pointed out some of the many good acta that his Lordship has

done for the Craft and individual members of the mystio tie , nnd also informed the younger brethren that Lord Arthur is a member of this Lodge . Bro . Mills , after pinning " Hearts of Oak , " replied to the Provincial Officers of Down , Pas ; and Present , of which he is a member ( Grand Organist ) . The toast , the Guest of the Evening , was heartily drunk , amidst all honours , and the familiar songs , " He ' s a

Jolly Good Fellow" und "A Freo and Aooepted Masou , " wero rendered with a ring of joy ; after which tho chairman oalled upon Bro . Thos . Stanage to read the address , whioh was neatly illumiuated by Mr . Thomai James Hamilton , Scarva-street , and mounted in a choice frame by Bro . Thomas Proctor . The jewel , which is solid gold , speaks volumes for Bro . W . J . Miller ' s ( Seoretary ) good taste , while

the apron is of tho finest lambskin , bound with blue , and can claim a similar encominm for Bro . Diokson . Bro . Duffin , ip replying , regretted his being obliged to sever his connection ; but he wished to better himself , and no matter where ho wonld be he would always prize the gifts which were so heartily presented to him . The health of the Visiting Brethren was coupled with tho names of Bros . James Craig

and Robert Harvey , who replied , and the song " Worthy Freemasons All" was rendered by Bro . George Lavery . The W . M . and Officers of Lodge No . 119 , Past and Present , waa replied to by Bros . R . G . Wnrron , H . Gill , and Wm . Willis . The Professions brought out Bro . Baine ' s " Jug of Punch " in elegant fashion , and Bros . Thomas B . Wallace for law and order , and Dr . Tweedie for restoratives . The Press received justice from Bros . Larkin and Joseph Lutton . The Contributors to the Evening ' s Entertainment , after " Tell Me the Sisrn , John , " was coupled with the name of Bro . Mills and members

of Committee . Prosperity to fj . B . L ., No . 119 , and song , " The Craft that Weathers tho Storm , " having been rendered , Bros . Bainei , Miller , Mearns , and Barr replied . The Members of the Lodge 119 Initiated aince last Festival , brought out Bros . D . Card , T . Stanage , Lowery , Lomont , Resinfield , and Curran . Previously to finally closing , it was uuauimoasly resolved that the Committee tender the

best thanks of the brethren to Mrs . Mearns , Mrs . Larkin ? , Mrs . Dickson , Mrs . Baines , Mrs . Crnig , and Mrs . Hill , Solitude House , for the kindnesa and trouble taken with the supper , and their highly appreciated contributions ; also to Mr . Andrew M'Clelland , J . P . Belmont , for the table plant ? , which added much to the appearance of the dishes . " Next Merry Meeting " haviug beou sung in anoient form , " Auld Lang Syne " terminated the happy reunion .

CALEDONIAN CHAPTER , No . 204 .

AT a regular meeting of this Chapter , held in the Freemasons ' Hall , Manchester , an interesting and pleasant incident ocourred in the shape of a presentation to Comp . Andrew of a clock and ornaments . After the presentation had been made , Comp . Andrew replied as follows : —It is nn old man ' s privilege to look back , as it is the delight of tho young to look forward . I may be pardoned in speaking of self , and taking a retrospect of my connection with this Chapter .

In looking over a list of members , printed in 1877 , when I was first appointed Scribe E ., great changes have taken place . Above eighty members have died vr left the Chapter . When requested by Comp . Hooper to bo Scribe E ., when ho waa » lrcted the First Principal in 1877 , I accepted the office with no idea of any reward or testimonial . I continued ns Scribe E . for the following year , when Comp . Clay was

First Principal , and afterwards was asked to take the third ohair , but declined , ns I tbonsfht tbe office of Secretary was more in my line . Iu 1885 I was elected aud served as Scribe E ., when lute Comp . V / bittaker WHS Firwt Principal . In 1886 Comp . C . J . Suhoffold , 1887 Comp . Byway , 1888 Comp . Pnulden , 1889 Comp . Cliffe , filled the office , and 1 Im ^ e had a worthy successor in 1890 , when Comp . Swinn

was appointed . Since I joined the Chapter in 1874 , 25 members of my mothpr L dpjp , Sfranpeways , No . 1219 . have become members . I proposed 15 of them . One Companion ( of Lodge No . 1219 , who I proposed ) , Comp . Dawson , in vnrions offices , pave eight years good service to the Crispier . He died regretted . Other members of 1219 have served the Chnpter with zeal and credit . Last January , when a

vote of r . htiiiks was proposed by Comp . Hooper , he hoped that Bomo " substantial fc ( k ' . n " wculd be given for my long services ns Scribe E . Previously to finally closing , it was uuauimoasly resolved that the Committee tender the

best thanks of the brethren to Mrs . Mearns , Mrs . Larkin ? , Mrs . Dickson , Mrs . Baines , Mrs . Crnig , and Mrs . Hill , Solitude House , for the kindnesa and trouble taken with the supper , and their highly appreciated contributions ; also to Mr . Andrew M'Clelland , J . P . CALEDONIAN CHAPTER , No . 204 .

AT a regular meeting of this Chapter , held in the Freemasons ' Hall , Manchester , an interesting and pleasant incident ocourred in the shape of a presentation to Comp . Andrew of a clock and ornaments . After the presentation had been made , Comp . Andrew replied as follows : —It is nn old man ' s privilege to look back , as it is the delight of tho young to look forward . I may be pardoned in speaking of self , and taking a retrospect of my connection with this Chapter .

In looking over a list of members , printed in 1877 , when I was first appointed Scribe E ., great changes have taken place . Above eighty members have died vr left the Chapter . When requested by Comp . Hooper to bo Scribe E ., when ho waa » lrcted the First Principal in 1877 , I accepted the office with no idea of any reward or testimonial . I continued ns Scribe E . for the following year , when Comp . Clay was

First Principal , and afterwards was asked to take the third ohair , but declined , ns I tbonsfht tbe office of Secretary was more in my line . Iu 1885 I was elected aud served as Scribe E ., when lute Comp . V / bittaker WHS Firwt Principal . In 1886 Comp . C . J . Suhoffold , 1887 Comp . Byway , 1888 Comp . Pnulden , 1889 Comp . Cliffe , filled the office , and 1 Im ^ e had a worthy successor in 1890 , when Comp . Swinn

was appointed . Since I joined the Chapter in 1874 , 25 members of my mothpr L dpjp , Sfranpeways , No . 1219 . have become members . I proposed 15 of them . One Companion ( of Lodge No . 1219 , who I proposed ) , Comp . Dawson , in vnrions offices , pave eight years good service to the Crispier . He died regretted . Other members of 1219 have served the Chnpter with zeal and credit . Last January , when a
