After due observance of formalities , the ceremony of raising was rehearsed , Bro . Penrose

candidate . Lodge was then called off , and on resuming was closed to the first degree . Bro . Dixon was elected W . M . for the second Thursday in December , and Bro . R . T . Stringer , J . With due observance of preliminaries , the ceremony of raising was rehearsed , Bro . Gush candidate . Bro . Cohen worked the first , second and third sections of the lectnre , assisted by the brethren . Lod ge was resumed , and Bros . Flack , of the St . Hatch , Provincial Grand Master of Nicaragua , South America , tendering his sincere thanks to the Preceptor aud brethren for the instruction he had received in the Percy lodge of Instrnction during his recent stay in London . Nothing further having offered for the good of Freemasonry , Lodge was closed in ancient form , and adjourned to Saturday , 24 th inst , on which evening

will be held the first monthly meetiug of the Masonic Association whioh has been formed in connection with this Lodge of Instruction . This promises to be a great snecess . The Lodge was opened by the W . M . in the three degrees . The ceremony of raising was rehearsed ,

and the charge in the third degree delivered to the candidate . The W . M . having olosed to the first degree , entry drill was practised . Eoyal Alfred Lodge of Instruction , No . 780 . —The annual dinner was held at the Star and Garter Hotel , Kew Bridge , on Friday , 16 th inst ., under the presidency of Bro . F . Botley , when a most enjoyable evening was spent , the catering of Bro . Brill being muoh appreciated . The usual Loyal and Masonio toasts having been honoured , Prosperity to the Royal Alfred Lodge of Instruction wa 3

given by the Worshipful Master , aud replied to by Bro . C . Andrews P . M . Preceptor . To the toast of the Secretaries , Bro . C . E . Botley responded , and gave a resume of the year ' s work , showing that thirty , four meetings had been held , that the ceremony of initiation had been worked nineteen times , that of passing ten , and raising ten , while thirty-four sections had been worked on twenty evenings . The

total number of members on the books is eighty-eight . Bro . Seoretary oonoluded by urging an increased attendance . Bro . F . Botley waa re-elected W . M . for the " next meeting . and the charge in the third degree delivered to the candidate . The W . M . having olosed to the first degree , entry drill was practised . Eoyal Alfred Lodge of Instruction , No . 780 . —The annual dinner was held at the Star and Garter Hotel , Kew Bridge , on Friday , 16 th inst ., under the presidency of Bro . F . Botley , when a most enjoyable evening was spent , the catering of Bro . Brill being muoh appreciated . given by the Worshipful Master , aud replied to by Bro . C . Andrews P . M . Preceptor . To the toast of the Secretaries , Bro . C . E . Botley responded , and gave a resume of the year ' s work , showing that thirty , four meetings had been held , that the ceremony of initiation had been worked nineteen times , that of passing ten , and raising ten , while thirty-four sections had been worked on twenty evenings . The

total number of members on the books is eighty-eight . Bro . Seoretary oonoluded by urging an increased attendance . Bro . F . Botley waa re-elected W . M . for the " next meeting .
