rilHE regular meeting of this Lodge was held at the Midland Hotel , 1 Aldwick , Manchester , on Monday , the 12 th December , Richard Booth W . M . After the minutes of the last regular meeting had been read and confirmed , Bro . John Redman Farrev , who expressed a desire to become a F . C . Freemason , gavo tho requisite proofs of his profioiouoy , was entrusted with a test of merit , and retired . Having
been duly prepared , be was again admitted into the Lodge and passed into the second dejree . There were present Bros . R . Booth W . M ., James Hayes J . W ., T . Rostron Treasurer , W . J . Melling Secretary , J . W . Atkinson S . D ., R . W . Atkinson J . D ., N . Goodman I . G ., Henry Dawson P . M . T ) ler , William Hoylaud P . M . D . C ., GeoTge E . Wand P . Jno . R . Farrer . Visitor : Edward Roberts P . M . ( FREEMASON ' CHRONICXK ) . At the foativo board whioh sneceeded the Lodge business , Loyal and Masonic toss's were houonrod , being followed by that of the newly passed brother , to whioh Bro . Farrer responded . Ho thanked the brethren for the good wishes whioh had been expressed towards him . As yet , ho must admit bimseTF to be
a comparative stranger amongst them , and unfamiliar with Masonic customs , but he hoped in time to overcome these failings , just as his knowledge of Freemasonry extended . Bro . G . E . Wand P . M . proposed the toa 3 t of the Worshipful Master , and explained that he had travelled from Retford , a distance of 65 miles , to be present that evening . He warmly praised tbe interest which
Bro . Booth was taking in his Lodge , and said that under his guidance they ought to prosper , for their Worshipfnl Master was a credit to Freemasonry . Bro . Booth thanked tbe brethren for the warmth with whioh the toaot had been received , adding that he had performed his various duties with very great pleasure , and to the Htmost of his ability . One thing he promised tbem , that when his
services were required , he should always be at the call of his Lodge . At this stage of tbe proceedings the W . M . retired , and Bro . Hoyland , who assumed the chair , proposed the toast of the Seoretary , giving tbe latter tbe credit—in conjunction with Bro . Booth W . M ., and Bro . Rostron Treasurer—of having not only resuscitated the Lodge , but restored its prestige . Bro . Melling acknowledged the high
compliment whioh had been paid to him , and made the very gratifying announcement that on this evening the Lodge was in the proud position of being out of debt . No doubt the incoming Offioers wonld do their best to maintain this state of things , aud he relied npon them to make the forthcoming Festival of St . John self-supporting . Bro . Hayes J . W . immediately rejoined that he would gladly fall in
with the views of the Secretary , was quite prepared to meet them to any reasonable extent , and , as an Officer of the Lodge , placed himself in the hands of the Past Masters . Bro . J . W . Atkinson S . D . said that he willingly fell in with any view advocated by their beloved Secretary , Bro . Melliug , and as many of thain were the happy possessors of children , it struck him that it would do no harm to give
a slight Masonio groundwork to their characters , a training so to speak whioh should cause them to respect every surrounding connected with the Craft . As a means of drawing these young ones together , he suggested a dance , or some snob form of enjoyment , for no doubt mauy who might take part in a matter of this kind were destined ultimately to occupy positions similar to which ho and
others then bold . Bro . R . W . Atkinsoa J . D . said bo thought tbe idea put forth by Bro . Melling was a very happy one . Hi also agreed with tho last speaker that it wis very des rable to fiud some form of entertainment for the yonug ones . ON Wednesday , tbe 14 fcb inst ., the consecration of the third Mark Master ' s Lodge in Wiltshire , and the installation of the Earl of Radnor as Provincial Grand Master , took place at Salisbury . The ceremony of consecration of the El sa de Derham Lodge , No . 443 , was
performed by Bro . the Earl of Euslon D . G . M . of England , the brethren assembling for that purpose at the Council Chamber , at two o ' clock . The consecrating Officer was assisted by Bros . Colonel A . B . Cook P . G . M . of Middlesex

portion of the ceremony was unusually good , and was conducted by Bro . W . S . Bambridge to tho entire sitisfaction , not only of tho Provincial Grand Lodge but of tbe Grand Officers who were present . At the banquet which followed tho Earl of Radnor presided . His lordship ' s health was
proposed by the Earl of Euston in his accustomed genial manner , and heartily drunk . The banquet waa admirably served by Bro . F . Sutton . The floral decorations were effectively arranged by Mr . H . W . Ward , gardener at Longford Castle , and Mr . 0 . Simmonds draped and upholstered the vestibule and the banquetting room .
