W . M . having intimated his intention of going forward as Steward for i the three Benevolent Institutions , tbe sum of 25 guineas were voted for the R . M . B . I . for Aged Freemasons , leaving the other two for further , consideration . The sum of 10 guineas was also voted to Bro . G . W . Kidd S . W ., who also goes forward as Steward . Candidates for initiation were proposed . All Masonic business being ended , the I .

Lodge was closed , and the brethren adjourned to the banquet in the Council Chamber , after whioh the usual loyal toasts were proposed and received in the manner peculiar to the Craft . For the Charities , Bro . J . McLeod responded , representing more particularly the Boys ' Institution , his plea was more on their behalf , but his remarks

generally referred to the duties of all Freemasons to do their best for the noble Charities , in which they should all bo interested . The remaining toasts were dnly honoured . The Tyler ' s toast concluded a well-spent evening . The proceedings of fche evening were greatly enlivened by musical and choral efforts by various brethren .
