CRAFT . — : o : — ROYAL YORK LODGE , No . 315 .

THE annual installation meeting of the brethren of this Lodge took place on Tuesday afternoon , tho 7 th inst ., at the Royal Pavilion , Brighton . The chief feature of the meeting was the installation of Bro . Harry Kent as Wor . Master for the ensuing year . The ceremony waa impressively performed by the retiring Worshipful Master Brother A . Stanley Cooke , the charges being given by

Bros . A . Stanley Cooke , L . B . Styor and J . C . Buckwell . The Wor-¦ bipful Master appointed his Officers , those present being invested with the insignia of their respective offices ; and on behalf of the Lodge tbe Worshipful Master presented Brother A . Stanley Cocke , the retiring Worshipful Master , with a Past Master's jewel in

appreciation of the admirable manner in whioh he bad carried out bis duties during the past year . The Lodge having been closed , the brethren adjourned to the banqueting . room , where they sat down to an elegant banquet under the presidency of the nowly installed Wor . ahipful Master Bro . Kent . The proceedings wero of a very hearty oharaoter .

COMBERMERE LODGE , No . G 05 . BROTHER John Frazer was , on the lGtli inst ., installed W . M . of this Lodge at the Musio Hall , Claughton Road , Birkenhead , in the presence of a numerous company of members of the Lodgo and visitors . The retiring Worshipful Mastor , Brother John Watt , presided , and tho ceremony of installation was performed by Brother Grant P . M . of tho Lodge . The newly installed Master invested the following brethren as Officers for the ensuing year : —Brothers John

During the ovening Brother Alexander Moore presented to Brother Watt , on behalf of the members of the Lodge , a handsome P . M . 's jewel , in recognition of hi 9 services to the Lodge during the year .

HARROGATE AND CLARO LODGE , No . 1001 . THE regular meeting of the abovo Lodge was held on Friday , the 10 th instant , at the Masonio Hall , Harrogate , the following being present—Brothers Walters W . M ., Thompson P . M . Treasurer , Booty Secretary , Duvey S . D ., Bell J . D ., Spiuks I . G ., Linskill and Turner Steward * , Child and Bungay Tylers , J . B . Griffith !' , B . A ., I . P . M ., Bodman P . M ., Lawrence P . M ., Marsh P . M . P . P . G . O ., Marshall

The Lodge was opened , the minutos read aud confirmed , and the ballot taken for Worshipful Master for the ensuing year , whioh proved unanimous in favour of Brother J . A . Macnab , who expressed his thanks for the high complimeut paid him . Bro . Thompson P . M . was re-elected as Treas .

urer . A speoial featnre of the evening ' s business was a leoture given by Brother William Watson P . P . G . S . of Works and Hon . Librarian of West Yorkshire , his subject being— " Freemasonry in England down to A . n . 1813 . " Tho lecturer illustrated his address with many rare and interesting books and curios , and kopt the brethren in rapt attention during his highly instructive and interesting lecture .

A special vote of thanks was accorded him for his kindness in attending to entertain tho brethren with his ndmirablo discourse . The Lodge was closed , and afterwards the supper was held in tbe banqueting room , where the vest of the evening was spent in social harmony , duly honouring tho nsual Loyal and Masonic toasts . The installation ceremony takes place on Friday , 14 th April .

PRINCE OF WALES LODGE , No . 1035 . THE annnal ball of the above Lodge , held on Wodnesday evening , the 15 th inst ., was a most successful gathering , and a substantial addition to the funds of the West Lancashire Masonic Charities is expeoted . Brothers Peters W . M ., Wells S . W ., and N . Davies J . W ., with a strong list of Stewards , attended to the comfort

of the guests . Brother John Davies I . P . M . was presented during tbe evening with a massive marble clock , the gift of tbe Officers and Brethren of the Lodge . Dancing was kept up until a late hour to the strains of Mr . Rowlands' band . The catering was attended to in his usual excellent way by Brother Eberle .

METHAM LODGE , No . 1205 . THE annual meeting of this Lodge was held on the 20 th instant ) at the Metham Masonic Hall , Caroline Place , Stonehouse , to instal Bro . Quurtermaster-Sergeant Facey , R . M . L . I ., as tho W . M . for the year ensuing . There was a large attendance of members of the Lodge and visiting brethren , Bro . Pearson , from the members of the Lodge , a valuable tea and coffee set in an oak oase .

The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly proposed by tha W . M . and heartily responded to by the brethren . The musical pro . gramme was most efficiently rendered by Brothers Shaw , Kirkham , Higginbotham , Hallard , Mawdsley , and Whittingham . Brother S .

Haden Jones was also presented with a valuable silver cigarette case as a small token of the valuable services he has rendered to the Lodge for several years as Director of Ceremonies and Preceptor of the Lodge of Instruction ; also a gold pencil case to Brother Vines for his serriees as Treasurer for nearly twenty years .

brethren partook of an excellent banquet , provided by Brother Saxon . Dnring the evening Brother Loach presented to the I . P . M ., Brother Pearson , a valuable Past Master ' s jewel , also a Past Master ' s apron , as a mark of esteem and respect ; also to Mrs . Pearson , from the members of the Lodge , a valuable tea and coffee set in an oak oase .

The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly proposed by tha W . M . and heartily responded to by the brethren . The musical pro . gramme was most efficiently rendered by Brothers Shaw , Kirkham , Higginbotham , Hallard , Mawdsley , and Whittingham . Brother S .

Haden Jones was also presented with a valuable silver cigarette case as a small token of the valuable services he has rendered to the Lodge for several years as Director of Ceremonies and Preceptor of the Lodge of Instruction ; also a gold pencil case to Brother Vines for his serriees as Treasurer for nearly twenty years .
