Hattersley and J . C Ratcliffe to the degree of F . C , the ceremonies being performed by Bro . James Shaw Whitley Worshipful Master . A proposition of Bro . J . Slyman , J . P ., P . P . G . S . D . Charity Representative , that the sum of £ 20 bo voted by the Lodge as a donation to the late Lord Lathom Memorial Fund , was deferred .

The usual festive board followed these proceedings , and a very pleasant evening was spent .

ALBERT VICTOR LODGE , No . 1773 . THE regular meeting was held at the Town Hall , Pendleton , on Friday , 17 th inst ., Bro . Wm . Thos . Blease W . M . After the reading and confirmation of minutes , Bro . George Agnew Main , Physician and Surgeon , Prince Alfred Lodge , No . 1218 , was successfully balloted for as a joining member . Bros . Chas . Joshua Bower and William Statham were then raised to the sublime degree of M . M ., the first ceremony being undertaken by Bro . Wm . Lambert I . P . M . Secretary , and the latter by the W . M .

Following Lodge work was the festive board , Loyal and Masonic toasts being pleasantly varied by songs , recitations , & c

DUKE OF YORK LODGE , No . 2449 . THE annual meeting and festival of St . John in connection with fche above Lodge took place at the Albion Hotel , Manchester , on Thursday , 9 th inst . In the absence of the Worshipful Master , Lodge was opened by a Past Master , and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed .

Nelson Stokes , Cuthbert Blacow , W . T . Haworth , and J . W . Maltby . Bro . Stott , whose humour is always irrestible , sang several songs . Bro . Bridge Hopkinson P . M . 1140 993 was the accompanist .
