HOLIDAY ABBANGEMENTS

— : o : — GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY . fJlHIS Company issue ordinary as well as excursion tickets at their City and JL West End offices , at any of which places tickets can be obtained during the whole week preceding Easter . Tickets can also be obtained at Victoria ( L . C . & D . Ry ) , Clapham Junction , Chelsea , Battersea , Kensington ( Addison Eoad ) , and the stations on the Hammersmith and City line . The booking office at Paddington station will be open for the issue of tickets tho whole day on the Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday before Easter .

Cheap tickets at special low fares and available on the forward journey on 30 th , 31 st March , 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd April , will be issued from London to Bath , Bristol , Minehead , llfracombe , * Exeter , Plymouth , Falmouth , Penzance , Yeovil , Dorchester , Weymouth , and certain other stations in the South and West of England . On Tuesday , 28 th March , fin excursion , allowing a fortnight , will be run to Killarney ( via Cork ); On Wednesday , 29 th March , excursions , allowing a fortnight in Ireland , will be run to Waterford , Limerick , Killarney , Belfast , Armagh , Giant ' s Causeway , & o .

Oa Thursday , 30 th March , an excursion for Weston-Super-Mare , Taunton , Minehead , llfracombe , Exeter , Plymouth , Bodmin , Penzance , & c , reaching Exeter in 5 J hours , and Plymouth in 7 § hours , will leave Paddington at 8 . 0 a . m . Excursions will also be run on the same day to Bristol , Yeovil , Weymouth , Oxford , Evesham , Worcester , Malvern , Birmingham , Shrewsbury , Aberystwyth , Barmouth , Llandudno , Carnarvon , Chester , Manchester , Liverpool , Cirencester , Gloucester , Cheltenham , Newport , Cardiff , Swansea , Carmarthen , "New Miiford , Cork , & c .

On Thursday , 30 th March , a special boat express for Weymouth will leave Paddington at 8 . 50 a . m ., and a special day-boat for Guernsey and Jersey will leave Weymouth at 2 . 0 p . m . Tickets will be issued at 24 / 6 return , available by this day-light service , or on 30 th March , 1 st and 3 rd April , by the usual boat train leaving Paddington at 9 . 15 p . m ., and the night boat leaving Weymouth at 2 . 15 a . m . The cheap tickets to the Channel Islands by the popular short-sea route , via We 3 ** mouth , will be available for 14 days .

On Good Friday and Easter Sunday , cheap trains will run to Reading , Oxford , and other riverside stations . On Saturday , 1 st April , excursions will run to Gloucester , Cheltenham , Cardiff , Swansea , Bath , Bristol , Weston-Super-Mare , & c , and on Easter Monday , to Reading , Pangbourne , Goring , Bath , Bristol , Weston-Super-Mare , Gloucester , Cheltenham , & o . On Tuesday , 4 th April , a cheap half-day excursion will leave Paddington at 12 . 2 noon , for Banbury . Leamington , and Stratford-on-Avon .

In addition to these excursions , cheap trains will be run to London from most of the provincial towns , and between tho principal centres of population . On the Wednesday and Thursday before Easter most of the long distance trains will be duplicated . On Good Friday the trains will be run as on Sundays , with the addition of the 5 . 30 a . m . Newspaper train , which will run as far as Plymouth and

Swansea , calling at the usual intermediate stations , and connecting at Chippenham with a special train for the Weymouth line '; and at Plymouth with the 2 . 25 p . m . thence to Penzance . A special train will leave Paddington at 5 . 35 a . m . for Reading , Didcot , and Oxford , where it will connect with trains to the Worcester , Birmingham and Wolverhampton districts . Cheap third class excursion tickets will be issued on Good Friday ,

Saturday , 1 st April , Easter Sunday and Monday , by specified trains from Paddington , Kousington ( Addison Road ) , Hammorsmilili , and certain stations on the Metropolitan , Metropolitan District and North London Railways , to Staines , Windsor , Taplow , Maidenhead , Henley and other popular riverside resorts . Week-end tickets will also be issued to the same stations on 30 th , 31 st March , 1 st and 2 nd April , available for return on the following Saturday , Sunday , Monday , or Tuesday .

Cheap week-end tickets will be issued on Thursday , 30 th March , Good Friday , and Saturday , 1 st April , to Winchester , Southampton , Bridport , Abbotsbury , Dorchester , Weymouth , Clevedon , Weston-Super-Mare , Dawlish , Teignmouth , Torquay , Dartmouth , Malvern , Church Stretton , Abingdon , Oxford , Leamington , Warwick , Stratford-on-Avon , Aberystwyth , Dolgelley , Barmouth , Rhyl , Llandudno , Bangor , Carnarvon , Holyhead , & o . These tickets are issued on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year .

MIDLAND RAILWAY . CHEAP excursion trains will run from London on Tuesday , 28 th March , to Londonderry , via Morecambe , by direct Steamer , returning within 16 days as per sailing bill ; on Wednesday , 29 th , to Dublin , Cork , Killarney , & c , via Morecambe and via Liverpool , returning any week-day within 16 days ; on Wednesday , 29 th , to Belfast , Londonderry , Portrush , & c , via Barrow and via Liverpool , available for returning any week-day within 16 days . On Thursday , 30 th , cheap excursion trains will be run from London

to Leicester , Nottingham , Newark , Lincoln , Birmingham , Burton , Derby , Manchester , Blackburn , Bolton , Rochdale , Oldham , Liverpool , Sheffield , Leeds , Bradford , Scarboro ' , Newcastle-on-Tyne , Barrow and the Furness and Lake District , Carlisle , & c , & c , returning the following Monday or Tuesday ; and from London ( St . Pancras ) to Edinburgh , Glasgow , Greenock , Perth , Stirling , Aberdeen , Inverness , Nairn , Forres , Ballater , & c , returning Monday , 3 rd April , or Friday , Tth April . Tickets will also be issued by the Scotch excursion at a single ordinary third class fare for the double journey , available for returning on any day within 16 days from the date of issue .

On Saturday night , 1 st April , a cheap two days excursion train will be run to Sheffield , Leeds , Bradford , Manchester , Liverpool , & e . On Easter Monday , 3 rd April , cheap excursion trains will be run to St . Albans , Harpendon , and Luton . Cheap week-end tickets will be issued on Thursday , Friday , and Saturday ,

30 th , 31 st March , and 1 st April , from London ( St . Pancras ) to the principal holiday and pleasure resorts , including the Peak District of Derbyshire , Morecambe , Yorkshire , the North East Coast , Scotland , and other parts , ' available for return on any day up to and including Tuesday , 4 th April ) except day of issue .

Cheap week-end and day excursion tickets will be issued to Southend-on-Sea during the Easter holidays , for particulars of which see special bills . Tickets for joining the trains at St . Pancras Station can be obtained on the two days previous to the running of the trains at the offices of the Company . Cheap excursion trains for five or six days will also be run on Thursday , 30 th , to London , from Carlisle , Bradford , Leeds , Sheffield , Liverpool )

Holiday Arrangements.

Manchester , Blackburn , Bolton , Blackpool , Preston , Lincoln , Newark , & c , and from Birmingham , Wolverhampton , Walsall , & c . On Good Friday , 31 st , from Bradford , Leeds , Sheffield , Blackburn , Bolton , Blackpool , Preston , Oldham , Manchester , & c , for two or four days , and from Burton , Derby , Nottingham , Birmingham , Leicester , & c , for one , four , or five days . Passengers will be booked by these trains at cheap fares to Brighton , and

other South Coast Stations , and to the Continent ; those for the Continent having the privilege of returning by any ordinary train within 16 days . Cheap three-days trips will also be run to London on Friday night , 31 st , from Colne , Blackburn , Bolton , Blackpool , Preston , Rochdale , Oldham , Liverpool , Manchester , & c , and on Saturday , 1 st April , from Liverpool , Manchester , & c , for three and five days .

On Easter-Monday , single day trips will be run from "Manchester , Stockport , & c , Burton , Derby , Nottingham , Leicester , Northampton , Bedford , Luton , St . Albans , & c , and a one or two days' trip from Birmingham , and the South Stafford District .

To prevent inconvenience and crowding , the booking offices at St . Pancras and Moorgate Street stations will be open for the issue of tickets all day on Wednesday , Thursday , and Saturday , 29 th , 30 th March , and 1 st April , and tickets to all principal stations on the Midland Railway will also be issued beforehand at any of their offices .

The tickets obtained at these offices will be available from St . Pancras station , and will be issued at the same fares as charged at that station , and dated to suit the convenience of passengers . On Good-Friday the trains will run as appointed for Sundays , with the following exceptions : —The Newspaper express leaving St . Pancras at 5 . 15 a . m . will run to Bedford , Leicester , Nottingham , Derby , Sheffield , and

Manchester . The 8 . 55 a . m . local train , Sheffield to Leeds , & c , will await the arrival of the Newspaper express at Sheffield . The night expresses will leave Glasgow at 9 . 30 , and Edinburgh at 9 . 50 p . m . on Good Friday , and proceed from Carlisle at 12 . 22 and 12 . 40 a . m . respectively , on Saturday morning , 1 st April , in the same way as they are run south of Carlisle on

ordinary week-days , and the 12 . 23 a . m . Carlisle to London will not run on Saturday morning , 1 st April . The 2 . 58 a . m . Carlisle to Stranraer , and 8 . 50 p . m . Stranraer to Carlisle , ia connection with steamers to and from Ireland , will run on Good Friday , the same as on ordinary week-days . The steamers between Barrow and Belfast will sail on Good Friday in both directions . That from Barrow will await the arrival of the 5 . 0 p . m . train from Leeds .

On Easter Monday , 3 rd April , certain booked trains will be discontinued , of which due notice will be given by special bills at the stations .
