The Companions adjourned to the banquet , which was of the best , for which the house is noted . After the banquet the M . E . Z . proposed the usual Loyal and Arch toasts . In proposing the Grand Officers , the M . E . Z . drew attention to their strenuous labours for the Order , especially mentioning that of their first M . E . Z .
Comp . Wyer , in proposing the M . E . Z ., said that they were proud of Comp . Folkard , who was known to them all as a firm friend as well as a zealous Mason—one whom to know was to esteem and respect . The M . E . Z ., after responding , proposed the H . and J ., to which they replied .
In proposing the Exaltee , the M . E . Z . pointed out that Comp . Clayton , as a personal friend of Comp . H ., and one who was well known to all present , was sure to be an ornament to the Chapter . Comp . Clayton responded .
In proposing the Installing Principal , Comp . Folkard pointed out the debt 'of gratitude they owed to Comp . Voisey , who had helped them from the very first . They were delighted to see him so fully restored to health that he could again come among them . They hoped he would long bo preserved to attend their meetings .
Comps . Voisey , in response , thanked the members . He had from the commencement of his Masonic career aimed to carry out the principles inculcated , and should try to continue to do so . The M . E . Z ., in proposing the Past Zs ., referred to the work they had done . Comp . Wyer was deeply loved by them as a man , respected as a worker , and esteemed as a Mason . His zeal and fidelity could not be surpassed . It gave him great pleasure to make , on behalf of the Chapter , the presentation of a P . Z . 's jewel .
The jewel was a miniature one , similar to that used by tho Founders , and was much admired . It bore the following inscription : —

Great Western Railway . —Tho Great Western Company announce Excursions to Cork and Killarney on Thursday , 30 th May . To Gloucester , Cardiff , Newport , Swansea , New Milford , Waterford , and other stations in South Wales and the South of Ireland on Friday , 31 st May . A fast excursion train for the West of England will leave Paddington at 7 - 55 a . m .
on Saturday , lst June , reaching Exeter in 5 £ hours and Plymouth in 1 % hours , and excursions will also be run to Bath , Bristol , Dorchester , Weymouth , Worcester , Malvern , Hereford , Gloucester , Newport , Cardiff , Swansea , Oxford , Leamington , Birmingham , Wolverhampton , Shrewsbury , Chester , Liverpool , Manchester , Aberystwith , Barmouth , Llandudno , & c . Return tickets at 24 s 6 d will also be issued to Guernsey and Jersey .
On Whit-Sunday a cheap train will run to Swindon , Stroud , Gloucester and Cheltenham , leaving Paddington at 8-35 a . m .
