Thirty-nine petitioners were on the list for assistance , but four of the petitions were dismissed , and seven were deferred . One petitioner was recommended to Grand Lodge for a grant of £ 100 , one for £ 75 , and two for £ 50 each . The
recommendation to the Grand Master for a grant of £ 40 was made in two cases , and of £ 30 in six cases . Eight grants of £ 20 each , four of £ 10 each , and four of £ 5 each , were also made , the total amount being £ 775 .
