But it is to tho notice of our friends in Golden Square that we must more immediately commend this work , and they doubtless will linger throngh its pages with an interest that can only bo equalled by thoir sympathy .

A BROTHER has submitted the following point for our opinion . "Hay I ask your kind reply to the following question ? In Grand Lodge Senior Grand Warden is described as S . G . W ., but I find in circulars , issued from the Provincial Senior Grand Lodges Norfolk and Suffolk that a Provincial Senior Grand Warden generally has

tho letters Prov . G . S . W . affixed to his name ; in fact , the Officers are addressed thus : —Prov . G . S . W ., Prov . G . J . W ., Prov . G . S . D ., Prov . G . J . D . Ought not these to be—Prov . S . G . W ., Prov . J . G . W ., Prov . S . G . D ., Prov . J . G . D ., & c & o . P Some uniform arrangement should in my opinion be made . "

[ We imagine onr -worthy correspondent has started a question which it will be difficult to answer satisfactorily . We confess we see not how ifc can be of much consequence whether an Officer of Grand Lodge—say one of the Wardens—is described as Grand Senior or Junior Warden ,

or Senior or Junior Grand Warden . Grand Lodge , like other Lodges , is ruled by its Master and Senior and Junior Wardens , and as the former necessarily has his prefix ancl is described as Grand Master , so the Jatter have their prefix and may be rightly described as Grand Senior and Grand

Junior Wardens . On the other hand , as the Wardens of Grand Lodge must be Grand Wardens , they may also be described as Senior Grand and Junior Grand ; it is merely

a matter of taste . The same remarks will apply with equal force to tho Wardens and other Officers of a Prov . Grand Lodge , and it matters little whether the word Grand precedes or follows the words Senior , Junior , & c , & c—ED . E . G . ]

The first number of the Boys ^ Newspaper ( issued by Messrs . Cassell , Potter and Galpin ) gives promise that thafc periodical will supply a want that has every day become more and more felt—the provision of a useful record of current events suitable for the rising generation . We have for some time past noticed the growing tendency of boys to

study the news of the day , and believe that if this were condensed into reasonable limits , and unsuitable matter expunged , its perusal wonld soon prove a still more favourable topic , and could not fail to be beneficial both to the Boys themselves and the community generally .

Wo understand thafc Bro . the Lord Mayor will entertain tho Australian Cricketers at the Mansion House , before they take thendeparture for home . Ib is expected the banquet will take placo on Friday , 8 th of October .
