We shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and where desired will endeavour to send a representative , to report Lodge or other proceedings .

CRAFT : METROPOLITAN .

SIR HUGH MYDDLETON LODGE , No . 1602 . rjIHE annual installation meeting of this popular Lodge took place on JL Friday , 12 th inst ., at the Royal Agricultural Hall , Islington , N . Bro . H . ' G . Davenall W . M . took tho chair at 4 o'clock , being supported by the following Brethren : Edward Drew S . W . Worshipful Master-elect , W . 3 . K . Littlewood J . W ., 3 . Weston P . M . Treas ., J . Osborne P . M . Sec , G . W . Larter P . M . D . C , W . Wiltshire J . D ., W . Wright P . M . Organist , G . S . Collins

The Lodge being duly formed the minutes were read by Bro . J . Osborne Secretary , and were confirmed . Bro . Cohen was named on the agenda as a candidate for passing , but the ceremony was postponed till the next meeting . The Auditors' report was received and adopted , it proving the Lodge to be in a satisfactory position .

The Lodge was opened in the second degree , when the W . M . declared all Offices vacant . Bro . Edward Drew W . M .-elect was presented , and Bro . H . G . Davenall W . M . addressed him upon the duties of the high office to which he had been elected and which he agreed to accept , signifying his assent to

the ancient charges , and taking the obligation in regular form . A Board of Installed Masters was formed , and Bro . Drew was inducted into the chair . Tbe Brethren were re-admitted , and the new W . M . was proclaimed and saluted , and in regular order Bro . Davenall delivered the charge to the Worshipful Master , Wardens , and Brethren , in an admirable manner .

Bro . Drew invested his Officers as follow : Bros . H . G . Davenall I . P . M ., W . J . R . Littlewood S . W ., W . Wiltshire J . W ., 3 . Weston P . M . Treas ., 3 . Osborne P . M . See ., G . S Collins S . D ., G . A . Dowse J . D ., R . G . Beaumont I . G ., 0 . Dearing P . M . D . C , G . Wales A . D . C , W . Wright P . M . Organist , 3 Porter , E . 3 . Hiscock , A . Raines , 3 . Taylor and W . 3 . Bartlett Stewards , 0 . Shepperd Tyler .

Other items of business were disposed of , hearty good wishes were tendered , and the W . M . closed the Lodge , the Brethren afterwards adjourning to the banquet table , where an enjoyable dinner was provided by the well known firm of A . Probyn and Co ., caterers . This was followed by the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts , that of the Worshipful Master being especially well received and responded to in very feeling terms .

A very handsome and well deserved Past Master ' s jewel was presented to Bro . H . G . Davenall , for the excellent manner in which he had carried out the duties of the chair during his year of office . Great credit is due to those who had the arrangement of the programme , for the perfect way in which the annual event passed off . No small part of the success of the gathering was

due to the music , so well provided by Bro . Willie Wright P . M . P . Z . P . P . G . Organist Middlesex Organist of the Lodge ; among those who supported him being Miss Emily Davies , Miss Amy Spencer , Bro . Herbert Linwood , Bro . W . L . Cockburn , and Bro . Sam Wright , whose efforts to please added greatly to the enjoyment of the evening .

RAHERE LODGE , No . 2546 . AN ordinary meeting was held at the Frascati , Oxford Street , on the 9 th , Bro . T . G . A . Burns W . M . in the chair . Bros . Tucker , Lewis , and Kennedy were raised to tho third degree , Bro . Stack was passed to the second , and Mr . 0 . 3 . Heath was initiated into Freemasonry . Bro . R . 3 . Recce , M . D ., was elected W . M . for the ensuing year . Bro . Godson was re-elected Treasurer and Bro . Madden Tyler .

It was decided that for the present no steps should be taken to found a Royal Arch Chapter in connection with the Lodge . Forty members afterwards dined together , and during tho evening a wedding present , subscribed for by some members of the Lodgo , was presented to Bro . Burns .

ALLEYN LODGE , No . 2647 . AN emergency meeting of this Lodge , at Dulwich , attracted a good attendance of members and visitors . One special reason for the meeting was the presentation to Bro . 0 . J . Axford P . P . G . D . C . Middlesex , tbo original Founder of the Lodge , of a very handsome wedding present , subscribed for by the members .

Previous to this , the ceremonies of initiating Mr . Adams and passing Bros . Terry and Wyatt were worked in a very satisfactory manner by Bro . Joel Worshipful Master , after which the presentation above referred to " was made by him , and , in a short , well-chosen speech , he referred to tbo many years Bro . Axford had spent in teaching the ritual to so many young Masons seeking office in their respective Lodges , and to the very splendid services he had rendered to their own Lodge since its foundation . He felt sure the

Brethren who knew Bro . Axford would all testify to the fact that he was a Mason of the highest class , gentlemanly in demeanour , courteous in address , and kindly in disposition to all with whom he came in contact , and ha trusted that the Great Architect of the Universe would preserve him and his good wife for many years to come . He then handed to Bro . Axford a very handsome case of silver fish knives and forks , as a wedding present from the members of the Alleyn Lodge . Bro . Axford , who was deeply touched by this expression of affection

and esteem from the members , made a very feeling reply , heartily thanking them all for their gift . The Brethren then adjourned to a well-served repast , and the remainder of the evening was spent in a very enjoyable manner .

Being Her Majesty the Queen ' s birthday , Bro . Baker sang the National Anthem , in which the Brethren most heartily joined .

Lodge was opened to the third degree and resumed to the first , 'when the ceremony of installation was rehearsed . Lodge was resumed to the third degree , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed . The ceremony of initiation , including the ancient charge , was rehearsed . The Lodge was called off , and on resuming the ceremony of passing was gone through , Bro . Flack candidate . Both the ceremonies were perfectly rendered , for which the W . M . was highly complimented by Bro . R . H . Williams P . P . G . D . Preceptor . The Lodge was resumed to the first degree , and Bro . Williams , with the assistance of the Brethren , worked the first section of the Lecture . Bro . H . J . Seal was elected W . M . for the next meeting .

— : o : — EMULATION LODGE , No . 299 . rpHE installation meeting took place at the Bull Hotel , Dartford , on I Tuesday , 16 th inst ., and was largely attended . Bro . A . Engley was installed in fche chair , the ceremony being performed in a most impressive manner by Bro . Light .

LOYAL LODGE OF INDUSTRY , No . 421 . FRIDAY , 18 th inst ., was a red letter day in the annals of this Southmolton Lodge , the occasion being a visit from the Hon . Sir Stafford Northcote , Bart ., C . B ., M . P ., P . G . M . of fche Province of Devon to the Lodge , and he

was subsequently entertained at a banquet held in the new Assembly Room , which was prettily decorated with plants , kindly lent by Lord Ebrington , who , owing to the training of the Yeomanry at Barnstaple , was unable to be present . The chair was occupied by the W . M . Bro . Pearce , who waa supported by the Prov . G . M . and Bro . Geo . Lambert , M . P .

ISCA LODGE , No . 683 . r HHE Beaufort Lodge , No . 103 , Bristol , and the Striguil Lodge , No . 2186 , I Chepsiow , paid an official visit on Wednesday evening , 17 th inst ., to the Isca Lodge , Newport .

The visitors were met at the Station by Bro . Forsyth P . P . J . G . W ., and were received at the Masonic HaU with full honours , there being present to greet them a number of Brethren from the Silurian , Albert Edward , and St . George ( Tredegar ) Lodges .

The ceremony of the third degree was undertaken by Bro . Gill Williams W . M . of the Isca Lodge . Afterwards the Brethren adjourned to the Westgate Hotel , where supper was served .

It was mentioned during the evening that Bro . Alfred Taylor , of Newport , that day celebrated the 46 th anniversary of his initiation as a Freemason , and that during this period he had held every office which the Prov . G . M . could give him .

ST . JOHN LODGE , No . 1039 . r | HHIS Lodge met on Wednesday , 24 th inst ., at Lichfield , under the I presidency of tho W . M . Bro . Alfred D . Parker . After the Lodge had been duly opened , the W . M . proposed a resolution

standing in his name to the effect that a loyal telegram of congratulation be despatched to Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen , from St . John's Lodge , on the great and unique occasion thoy were celebrating that day . To his mind , words altogether failed to describe or depict the great blessings which

ISCA LODGE , No . 683 . r HHE Beaufort Lodge , No . 103 , Bristol , and the Striguil Lodge , No . 2186 , I Chepsiow , paid an official visit on Wednesday evening , 17 th inst ., to the Isca Lodge , Newport .

The visitors were met at the Station by Bro . Forsyth P . P . J . G . W ., and were received at the Masonic HaU with full honours , there being present to greet them a number of Brethren from the Silurian , Albert Edward , and St . George ( Tredegar ) Lodges .

The ceremony of the third degree was undertaken by Bro . Gill Williams W . M . of the Isca Lodge . Afterwards the Brethren adjourned to the Westgate Hotel , where supper was served .

It was mentioned during the evening that Bro . Alfred Taylor , of Newport , that day celebrated the 46 th anniversary of his initiation as a Freemason , and that during this period he had held every office which the Prov . G . M . could give him .

ST . JOHN LODGE , No . 1039 . r | HHIS Lodge met on Wednesday , 24 th inst ., at Lichfield , under the I presidency of tho W . M . Bro . Alfred D . Parker . After the Lodge had been duly opened , the W . M . proposed a resolution

standing in his name to the effect that a loyal telegram of congratulation be despatched to Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen , from St . John's Lodge , on the great and unique occasion thoy were celebrating that day . To his mind , words altogether failed to describe or depict the great blessings which
