fHUE members of this Lodge , with their lady friends , spent the X 18 th inst . in an excursion to Dollar , the " place of health and learning . " The company left Glasgow about nine o'olook ' in the morning , and did not return till after nine at night . The day was hazy and unpromising , bnt tho rain kept off until late in the afternoon , so that the picturesque and grand scenery around and on the

Oohill Hills were visited by the party with pleasure and comfort . After a short rest at the Castle Campbell Hotel , the company visited tho famous Dollar Glen , whioh has been open to the public since 1865 . A pause was made as the party came to the " Long Bridge , " and the grandeur of the view much admired , an office-bearer bursting forth with , " This is , indeed , the word of T . G . A . O . T . TJ . " The Campbell

Castle , which derives its name from the Argyll family , who held possession for over three centuries , waa at last reached , and the company explored its ramifications with great interest . A photographer was in attendance , and the company having been photographed , they descended the Glen and assembled in the Castle Campbell Hotel , where dinner was served . The chair was occupied

brethren how muoh he appreciated their kindness . He thought , however , Mrs . Hunter was the most deserving party , as during his term of office she had had much to put up with .
