Collin , James Harper , and B . Craig . The past and present Provincial Grand Officers for 1887-8 were presented by the Provincial Grand Master in the chair wifch their Provincial certificates . Brother Rev . Jas . Anderson moved , as a

recommendation to the Provincial Grand Master , that the next annual Provincial Grand Lodge be held at Whitehaven , under the banner of Fletcher Lodge , which was supported

by tho Provincial Grand Master in the chair , and agreed to . Bro . Collin subsequently called the brethren ' s attention to a circular that had been sent to the Provincial

Grand Secretary , anent tho Peterborough Cathedral , and the erection of stalls therein . And as the corner stone was laid by the Provincial Grand Master , with Masonic honours , thafc the Mark Masters of this Province be invited fco vote a

small donation on behalf of the same . On the motion of Brofcher Rev . J . Anderson , snpported by Brother Collin , two guineas was voted from this Provincial Grand Lodge . Letters from various brethren of the Provinco were read ,

tendering their apology for absence , and other general business of a routine character ; and with hearty good wishes , Provincial Grand Lodge was closed , and the

brethren safc down to a cold collation , prepared by Mrs . Bentley , which pleased exceedingly . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts followed , and a very agreeable evening was ppenfc .

THERE was an unusually largo gathering of Mark Masons of this Province at the Freemasons' Hall , Landport , on the 19 th inst ., to witness the ceremony of installation of Bro . W . W . Beach , M . P ., as the Provincial

Grand Mark Master , in succession to tho late Canon Portal . Bro . R . Loveland Loveland , thc Depnty Provincial Grand Master , opened fche Lodge , and the Marquis of Hertford Depnty Grand Master was received with dnn

honours . The R . W . Provincial Grand Mark Master ( Bro . Beach ) was then introduced in proper form , and with the accustomed ceremonial was duly installed by the

Marquis of Hertford . The newly installed Provincial Grand Mark Master was then saluted with the grand honours , and appointed as his Deputy Bro . R . Loveland Loveland , who was similarly honoured , the brethren

THE Committee of this flourishing Association have just issued their Report for the year ending 30 th April 1889 . This document shows a very prosperous state of affairs . Tho number of now members for the year is nineteen , a larger increase than that obtained in tho previous year . The Committee would express their thanka to those members who , dnring the past season ,

havo undertaken tbe duties and responsibilities of Chairman on the Social Evenings . Tbe efficient programmes provided , nofc without the expenditure of time and money on their part , have greatly onhanced the pleasure of the Social Meetings , and secured a higher average of attendance . Relying on a former success , three

Cinderella Evenings have been held this year , whioh were both socially and financially successful , benefitting the General Fund to the amount of £ 5 5 s 9 d . The attendances at the " Social Evenings" has shown a marked increase ; while the Council Meetings instituted afc the beginning of the season havo fully

realised the usefulness expected of them . The annnal dinner was held on Saturday , 13 th April . Bro . A . F . Godaon , M . P . ( Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Worceaterahiro ) waa tho President ; he waa supported by Broa . Frederick Binckes ( B . G . S . B ., Vice-Patron and Secretary of the Institution ) , Past

President , Bros . Augustus Harris ( P . M . 2127 ) , Aahor Barfield ( G . Treas . ) , Major George Lambert ( F . S . A ., P . G . Stand . Bearer ) , Vice-Presidents , and other influential Masons . The Aasociation must be congratulated on the faofc that the Y . W . Bro . Rev . C . J .

Martyn ( Prov . Grand Chaplain , Deputy Prov . Grand Master Suffolk , Patron of the Institution ) haa kindly undertaken the office of President for the ensuing year . To the Report ia appended n Financial Statement , which showa a balance to the credit aide of the account of between £ 30 and £ 40 .
