REVIEWS .
All Books intended for Review should be addressed to the Editor of The Freemason ' s Chronicle , Belvidere Works , Hermes Hill , Pentonville , London , N . The Dorset Masonic Calendar for 1891 , compiled by Bro . John A . Sherren . Weymonth : Sherren and Son , 79 St . Mary Street .
Tnis handy little book is once more before us , and we must compliment Bro . Sherren on the way he has done his work . All interesting items in connection with Dorset are given , among whioh we may mention the list of meetings of all degrees working in the Provincf , the list of Grand Lodge , Provinoial Grand Lodge , Officers Present and Past , the Ma . ionio Notes , the annual summary , full information
about the Charities , and every other conceivable information that could be wished for . The book is printed in neat and careful styb * , and is published under the direction of the Prov . Grand Master . Iu conclusion we may mention that Bro . Sherren thanks tho Prov . Grand Secretary and the Officers of the various LodgeB and Chapters for their cheerful assistance in the work of compilation .
The Cornish Lodge in London bids fair to be a very successful orm , and to take a prominent place amongst the so-called class Lodges of the metropolis . This success is the more extraordinary as we believe it is the first , attempt that has been made to eiaabliah a Lodge under the English Constitutions in which the members are recruited from ono Province , and that Province by no meins a Inrge one compared with many in the north . The promoters , however ,
had faith in the well-known Cornish motto of " One and All , " and the result has proved far beyond their expectations . A numerously , attended meeting was recently held at the Freemasons' Hall , when several Cornisbmen resident in London , including the Revs . Cannon Shuttleworth and Vivian Tyrell , were either initiated or passed to the other degrees , and those preFmt a f terwards dined , together , under the genial presidency of Bro . N . J . West ,
