had tried to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors , and had endeavoured to do the work properly ; he trusted to their satisfaction The Exaltees were next complimented . The M . E . The installation of
Principals then took place : Comp . Wyer M . E . Z ., Tayler H ., Bond J . were installed by Comp . Vincent in his usual perfect and impressive manner . The M . E . Z . then invested and appointed the following as Officers—Comps . Fisher I . P . Z ., Isaacs Tr ., Beckham S . E ., Flatteley S . N ., Coulthard P . S ., Leo 1 st As . Soj ., Jones 2 nd As . Z . was presented with an elegant jewel , set with diamonds and other stones : this had been unanimously voted him for tho able and efficient manner in which ho had conducted the duties of the chair . amongst them . Comp . Fisher in few words , bnt well to the purpose , returned thanks ; his future efforts would be for the interest of the Chapter . The newly-installed M . E . Z . then exalted Bro . W . Westo n No . 1624 , into Royal Arch Masonry , the newly-installed Principals and Officers performing the ceremony in a very efficient manner .
The Chapter was then closed , and the brethren adjourned to the Holborn Restaurant , where a capital banquet and dessert was providerl by Bros . Gordon and Hamp . The M . E . Z ., who ably presided , proposed the usual Loyal aud Royal Arch toasts . Companion Fisher , in proposing the health of the First Principal , said
his merits were so well known that thoy required no commeut from him . Suffice it to say , they had seen his working and his able presidency , and ho trusted they would drink the toast with the enthusiasm it merited . The M . E . Z . felt it a groat honour to have his health proposed in so eloquent a manner . This was not the first
time he had occupied the chair of Z ., but he felt an especial pride in presiding over the Ecclestou Chapter . He was one of its Founders , and hoped to havo a successful year of office . Tho M . E . Z , in proposing the toast of the Exaltee , said Comp . Weston wa 3 highly respected in hia Lodge , and they were pleased to have him with
