Shaftesbury , —One of the merriest pieces now playing is to be found at this pretty house , where , under the management of Mr . F . J . Harris , a new musical farcical comedy entitled " Morooco Bound " nas been produced , with every prospect of a successful career . The story by Air . Arthur Branacombe is of the slightest and appears to illustrate the golden legend of the redoubtable Claimant to the
Tiohborne Estates , with regard to money and brains , for in order to extricate himself from his financial difficulties , Spoofah Bey , an Irish adventurer , persuades Squire Higgins and his friends to take a trip to Morocco to visit the Grand Vizier , and on their arrival he informs that magnate that they are a troupe of music hall artistes whom he has engaged for the Tangier Theatre of Varieties . Of course the " spoof " is discovered , but the Bey is pardoned at the request of his
viotims . The music is composed by Mr . 03 mond Carr and possesses considerable merit , indeed many of the songs will be heard of again for they are sure to become popular . Mr . J . L . Shine works hard to achieve success , singing and dancing away as though he enjoyed it , being admirably' assisted by Mr . Charles * Danby , Miss Violet Cameron , Miss Jenny McNuIty , and Miss Letty Lind , the latter lady introducing some very grotesque dances . Mr . George Grosaraith
