We shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and where desired will endeavour to send a representative , to report Lodge or other proceedings .

DUKE OF YORK LODGE > No . 2453 . THE annual Festival was held at the Masonic Temple , Cardiff , on Tuesday afternoon , 18 th inst ., when there was a large muster to do honour to the W . M .-elect Bro . Lewis Morgan . The ' installation ceremony - was impressively performed by the retiring W ' . M . BroOW . B . Ferrier P'M * . P . PiG . Registrar .
In the evening the annual banquet was held in the large banqueting room of the Royal . Hotel , when there was a very large attendance .
ANDERIDA LODGE , Np . 2434 . COUNCILLOR John Easter P . M . P . P . G . Organist was installed to the position of- Worshipful Master at the Queen ' s Hotel , Eastbourne , on the 19 th inst . Bro . Easter , who is a Mason of many years standing , enjoys the esteem of all who know , him , and on this new honour which he has attainedhe- will receive the hearty congratulations of not only his Brother Masons , but of the inhabitants of Eastbourne at large .
SHURMUR LODGE , No . 2374 . THE installation meeting of this flourishing and highly prosperous Lodge was held at the Royal Forest Hotel , Chingford , on Thursday j 20 th inst ., and was attended by upwards of ninety members and Visitors . There was a very full agenda of business before the members of this popular Lodge , and as a consequence proceedings were opened shortly after 2 o ' clock , when the minutes of the last meeting were put to . the vote and duly confirmed . Lodge was then advanced , to the third degree , and Bro . H . Keys was raised as a Master Mason .
After due examination Bros . Charles Cox , Arthur Moseley , Joseph Moseley , and H . Eustace were entrusted , and subsequently passed to the second degree . The ballot was now brought into requisition , on behalf of nine gentlemen
candidates for initiation in the Lodge , viz .: Messrs . Samuel Simpson , E . O . Morris , T . R . Nosworthy , Lewis Grave , T . J . Dawes , F . C . Gunter , Alfred Miller , F . T . Stubbings and W . J . F . Palowkar . All of these gentlemen were unanimously elected , and the five first named being in attendance they were regularly initiated into the mysteries of the Craft .
Next came the great event of the year—the installation of Worshipful Master for the ensuing twelve months . Bro . Joseph . Holland P . M . Senior Warden of the past year had been regularly elected to fill the chair , and was presented on this occasion by Bro . James Speller P . M . P . P . G . D . to receive frorh his predecessor Bro . S . C . Kaufman the benefits of installation , the usual ceremony being gone through on his behalf .
Having been saluted in each degree the new Master proceeded to invest the following as his Assistant Officers : —W . Fortescne S . W ., P . Trickett J . W ., W . Shurmur P . G . S . B . Treas ., J . Clark Sec , Rev . W . H . Langhorne Chap ., G . Pizey S . D ., W . Gower P . M . Prov . G . Treas . J . D ., Bleick I . G ., Hamilton D . C , Frances A . D . C , How , Body , T . Maynard , R . Eustace , Burton and Bagnall Stewards , Dr . Haskins Org ., John Ives P . M . Tyler .
The addresses were delivered and the work of installation completed in a very excellent and masterly manner by Bro . Kaufman . The Auditors' report was received and adopted , the details supplied giving good cause for congratulation on the part of the members of the Lodge . It was stated that the £ 210 voted to the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys had been paid to that charity , and on this occasion a grant of ten guineas was
made to the widow of a deceased Brother , while it was decided , on the proposition of Bros . Shurmur and Kaufman , to recommend her case to the Board of Benevolence oi Grand Lodge . In their report the Auditors spoke in high terms of the manner in which the accounts were kept by Bro . Clark Secretary , whose work in this direction , considering the large number of members belonging to the Lodge , must be considerable .
The Worshipful Master was elected to represent the Lodge on the Essex Charity Committee . A handsome Past Master ' s jewel was presented to Bro . Kaufman , for his services to the Lodge during the past year ,-and in presenting it the W . M . took the opportunity ol warmly congratulating that Brother on the success which had attended his year as President of the Lodge .

Letters of regret were read from many distinguished Brethren , one being from Bro . Lockwood the recently appointed Deputy Provincial Grand Master , who is at present in Italy . The Lodge was subsequently closed , and the Brethren adjourned to a banquet , which waa excellently served in the Queen ' s Pavilion . Brother Holland presided , being immediately supported by Grand and Provincial Grand Officers , in all close upon a hundred Brethren sitting down . The various Loyal and Masonic toasts were proposed with commendable brevity by the W . M .
Bro . Richard Clowes P . G . Stand . B . P . P . S . G . W . of Essex responded on behalf of the Grand Officers of England , specially commenting upon the very exceptional excellence of Bro . Kaufman ' s work in the Lodge as Installing Master and when conferring the different degrees . He intimated his intention of acquainting the Provincial Grand Master the Earl of Warwick when in his company the following week , as he hoped to be , of the excellent work he had witnessed in the Shurmur Lodge .
Bros . Fortascue and Gower responded for the Provincial Grand Officers , the latter expressing the pleasure it would afford him to nominate Bro . Smith Past Master of the Earl of Warwick Lodge , of Buckhurst Hill , for the office of Provincial Grand Treasurer . Bros . Kaufman ( Installing Officer ) , Speller , Fortescue , and Bestow responded for the Past Masters , while each of the newly admitted Brethren answered to the toast of the Initiates , in more than usually appropriate terms .
The toast of the Visitors was acknowledged by Bros . George Graveley P . G . Purs . England , Smith I . P . M . 2504 , Clebbon 20 , F . Taylor 2256 , and Harry Willsmer . Bro . W . Shurmur P . G . Std . B . England , responding to the toast of the Treasurer of the Lodge , after speaking in the highest praise of the work of the Installing Master , and of the admirable services rendered by their excellent Secretary Bro , James Clark P . M ., referred with gratification to the payment of the sum of two hundred guineas voted to the Royal Masonic Institution
for Boys , making a total of 400 guineas donated to the Boys School , and thereby securing for the Lodge the qualification of Patron , with eighty votes at each election , in perpetuity . . The Lodge is also & Patron of the Benevolent Institution , with 600 votes in perpetuity ; and a Vice-President of the Girls School , with twenty votes , in perpetuity .
Other toasts were given prior to the call for the Tyler . It was felt by a very large number of those present that the distance from home necessitated a much too early termination to one of the most enjoyable meetings ever held in connection witK this popular and progressive Lodge . An excellent programme of music was provided by and under the able direction of Bro . Dr . Haskins the talented Organist of the Lodge .

ALL SAINTS LODGE , No . 1716 . AMONGST the most pleasurable functions which it is our privilege to attend during the year is the Installation Festival . of this popular and flourishing Lodge ; it was therefore a pleasure to accept the invitation send us , and we were gratified in finding that the annual gathering was more numerously attended than usual , on Thursday , the 20 th inst ., at the Holborn Restaurant .

The Lodge being duly formed the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed .
Brothers Thomas , Fiddy , and Willers , who had been passed at the previous meeting , where presented for a higher degree , and having answered the questions were entrusted and retired . The Lodge was opened in the third degree and those Brethren were raised to the sublime degree of M . M . After this ceremony Bro . Leonard Potts P . M . and Treasurer of the Lodge took the Worshipful Master ' s chair , whilst Bro . Kirk P . M . took that of S . W ., and Bro . Raymond P . M . that of J . W ., whereupon the important and
interesting ceremony of installation was proceeded witb , Bro . William Bland S . W . being presented by Bro . Carpenter as Worshipful Master-elect of the All Saints Lodge . The ancient charges and regulations were read and agreed to in regular form by Bro . Bland , who was thereupon obligated . A strong Board of Installed Masters was formed , and the W . M .-elect was placed in the chair of K . S . as the ruler of the All Saints Lodge according to the old
rites and traditions . He was subsequently saluted in regular form , and the Brethren having resumed their seats the new Master proceeded to appoint and invest his Officers , as follow : Bros . The addresses to the Worshipful Master , Wardens and Brethren were delivered perfectly , and without the slightest hitch , by Bro . Leonard Potts , to whom great credit is due for his rendering of the ceremony throughout , and he was warmly applauded at the finish . Bro . J . 0 . Carpenter proposed , and Bro . J . Y . Mosey J . W . seconded , that Bro . Boyce Secretary of the Lodge of Instruction be elected an honorary member , which was unanimously agreed to , and was acknowledged in suitable terms .
Several letters were read from the Brethren expressing their regret in being unable to attend , and , after some other communications had been read , Bro . Potts-P . M . proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to the Worshipful Master of the Westbourne Lodge , for their kindness in allowing the All Saints Lodge to occupy the Masonic Temple for their installation , the

The Lodge being duly formed the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed .
Brothers Thomas , Fiddy , and Willers , who had been passed at the previous meeting , where presented for a higher degree , and having answered the questions were entrusted and retired . The Lodge was opened in the third degree and those Brethren were raised to the sublime degree of M . M . After this ceremony Bro . Leonard Potts P . M . and Treasurer of the Lodge took the Worshipful Master ' s chair , whilst Bro . Kirk P . M . took that of S . W ., and Bro . Raymond P . M . that of J . W ., whereupon the important and
interesting ceremony of installation was proceeded witb , Bro . William Bland S . W . being presented by Bro . Carpenter as Worshipful Master-elect of the All Saints Lodge . The ancient charges and regulations were read and agreed to in regular form by Bro . Bland , who was thereupon obligated . A strong Board of Installed Masters was formed , and the W . M .-elect was placed in the chair of K . S . as the ruler of the All Saints Lodge according to the old
rites and traditions . He was subsequently saluted in regular form , and the Brethren having resumed their seats the new Master proceeded to appoint and invest his Officers , as follow : Bros . Frank W . Whitlock S . W ., James Y . Mosey J . W ., Leonard Potts P . M . Treasurer , F . Butler Sec , W . S . Duff S . D ., J . Wiseman J . D ., W . Madeley I . G ., W . Verney Palmer D . C , H . H . Heap , R . A . M ., Org ., G . Cole , W . Kemp , and William Tomlinson Stewards , G . Patrick P . M . Tyler .
The addresses to the Worshipful Master , Wardens and Brethren were delivered perfectly , and without the slightest hitch , by Bro . Leonard Potts , to whom great credit is due for his rendering of the ceremony throughout , and he was warmly applauded at the finish . Bro . J . 0 . Carpenter proposed , and Bro . J . Y . Mosey J . W . seconded , that Bro . Boyce Secretary of the Lodge of Instruction be elected an honorary member , which was unanimously agreed to , and was acknowledged in suitable terms .
Several letters were read from the Brethren expressing their regret in being unable to attend , and , after some other communications had been read , Bro . Potts-P . M . proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to the Worshipful Master of the Westbourne Lodge , for their kindness in allowing the All Saints Lodge to occupy the Masonic Temple for their installation , the
