a very high position in the town , which he owed to his own exertions , He had secured the confidence and esteem of his masters , aud they were rather numerous . A man who eonld gain the good-will of the Town Council was sure to have the good-will of his Lodge . The Worshipful Master in response said nothing could be more gratifying to him than the kindness he had received from every member of the

Lodge since he first took office . He looked forward with confidence to the future because he knew that he should be supported by very efficient Officers , and with their assistance he hoped he should be able to preside over the Lodge to the satisfaction of the members .
