REPORTS OF MEETINGS .

We shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and where desired will endeavour to send a representative to report Lodge or other proceedings . — : o : —

ON Monday , 10 th inst ., the annual meeting was held m tho Freemasons' Hall , Ingham Street , South Shields . Bro . S . W . Linsley jun . W . M .-elect was presented to the Installing Master Bro . R . Purvis jun . by the retiring W . M . and the Installation ceremony was performed in an impressive manner .

— : o : — ST . HILDA LODGE , No . 240 .

Afterwards the Worshipful Master , on behalf of the Lodgo , presented to Bro . G . P . Robson a Past Master ' s jewel of handsome design and suitably inscribed in recognition of his services . The musical portion of the ceremony was admirably rendered by the Freemasons' choir , under Bro . Winstone .

PEOVINCIAL .

After the Lodge had been closed , the annual banquet took placo in the hall , the W . M . presiding . An excellent dinner was supplied by the manager , Bro . H . Hilton , and was greatly enjoyed . The Loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured , and the speeches were interspersed with musical selections by the choir . I

o o o SAMARITAN LODGE , No . 286 . THE annual festival was celebrated on Tuesday , 18 th inst ., at the house of Bro . William Jackson , the Green Man Hotel , Bacup , when about fifty Brethren sat down to a sumptuous repast ,

served in first class style . Brother James Lord , of Cloughfold , was installed W . M . for the ensuing year , the Installing Masters being Bros . H . Taylor P . M . P . P . G . S . B . and William ShacMeton P . P . G . S . B .

o o o LODGE OF HOPE , No . 302 . THERE was a large gathering at the Masonic Hall , Darley Street , Bradford , on tbe 10 th inst ., on the occasion of the

installation of the Worshipful Master Bro . A . W . Pullin S . W ., who hud been unanimously elected . After the proceedings in the Lodge the Brethren adjourned and celebrated the Festival of Sfc . John .

o o o LODGE OF UNION , No . 414 . DR . W . J . MAURICE has been elected Worshipful Master of this Reading Lodge for the ensuing year . The ceremony of installation takes place in January . o o o

AT the election meeting of this Lodge , held at Chacewater , Bro . J . Hall S . W . was elected as Master for the year , while the choice of the members was confirmed in favour of Brother W . A . Bennett P . M . P . P . G . S . B . as Treasurer , and Bro . John Paull as Tyler . O 0 o

PILGRIMS LODGE , No . 772

THE Annual meeting was held in the Masonic Room , Glastonbury , under the presidency of Bro . M . H . Stead W . M ., when Brother T . G . Coggan was . installed by Bro . R . C . Else D . P . G . M . Somerset , assisted by Bro . J . A . Bright P . M . After the ceremony of Installation , the Brethren dined together at " Ye Olde Pilgrimes Inne . "

0 0 0 DE GREY AND RIPON LODGE , No . 837 . THE installation of Bro . Thos . Cell as Worshipful Master took place on Friday , 7 th inst ., at tho Town Hall , Ripon , when there was a good attendence of members and visitors . The installation was conducted by Bro . Wilkinson the out-going W . M .

The Worshipful Master presented to Brother Wilkinson a Past Master ' s jewel on behalf of the members . The banquet was held at Bro . B . Evans ' s Unicorn Hotel . o o o

THREE GRAND PRINCIPLES LODGE , No . 967 . THE members have unanimously elected Bro . T . E . Roach S . W as W . M . for the ensuing year . Brother T . Gill P . P . G . A . D . C

was re-elected Treasurer , having held the office for the past twentytwo years , and Bro . E . Dawe was elected Tyler . Tho installation and banquet will take place on the Sth January . o o o

ROYAL CLARENCE LODGE , No . 976 .

THERE was a large gathering at Bruton , on Thursday , 6 thinst ., the occasion being the installation of Bro . E . Creed as W . M ., the ceremony being performed by Brother R . C . Else D . P . G . M . Somerset .

At tho conclusion of the business tho Brethren adjourned to a capital banquet provided by Bro . Carhart , of the Blue Ball Hotel . The usual Masonic toasts wore honoured .

ROYAL EDWARD LODGE . No . 1088

THE members celebrated their annual festival in tho Masonic Rooms , Market Street , Staiybridge , on Wednesday , 12 th inst ., when Brother Henry Lees , of Ashton , was installed W . M . for the ensuing year . After the banquet , which was served at the Boar ' s Head , a pleasant evening was spent . o o o

ANGLESEA LODGE . No . 1113

ONE of the largest installation meetings ever held in the Province of North Wales took place at Menai Bridge , on Monday , 17 th inst ., when Bro . W . A . Foster , of Bangor , was installed Worshipful Master of this Lodge .

Letters of apology regretting inability to be present were read Samongst others ) from Lord Harlech , Colonel Sackville West , Jolonel Henry Piatt , Sir Horatio Lloyd , Colonel Hunter , John Pritchard , Donald Cameron , T . Westlako-Morgan , & c .

The duties of Installing Master wero most ably and efficiently performed by Bro . H . Grey Edwards P . M . 384 P . G . S . D . On the conclusion of the business , the Brethren adjourned to fche banquet at the Victoria Hotel , at which between sixty and seventy sat down , presided over by the new Master .

After the banquet , the usual toasts wofe given with Masonic honours , and responded to . These were interspersed with songs , & c , by Bros . F . Barlow , Langford Jones ( Mayor of Bangor ) , 0 . W . Rowland , David Williams , J . A . Rodway . Thornton Jones , and J . W . Jones .

AT the regular meeting , al Plymouth , Bro . S . A . Maitlandb . W . was unanimously elected as Master for the year ensuing ; Bro » J . R . Lord P . M . P . P . G . T . as Treasurer and Representative on Committee of Petitions ; Bro . H . Barter P . M . as Charity Steward ; and W . H . Philips Tyler . o o o

ALDERSHOT CAMP LODGE . No . 1331

THE usual monthly meeting was held at the Masonic Hall , Aldershot , on Wednesdsy , ' 12 th inst ., Brother Tom Greener I . P . M . being in the chair , in the absence of the Worshipful Master , Bro . G . Isles , who has been transferred to Alderney . There was a large attendance of Brethren of the Lodge , and several visiting Brethren from Lodges beyond the sea .

Bro . Cotterell was passed , and Bro . Bradshaw raised , Brother Greener and Brother W . Cockburn P . M . P . P . G . Swd . B . respectively working the degrees . The election of a Worshipful Master and Treasurer for the ensuing year was then proceeded with , Brother H . G . M . Williams S . W . being unanimously elected W . M . and Brother Greener Treasurer .

Much important business was transacted in connection with the Masonic Charities and tho working of tho Lodgo for the ensuing year . After hearty good wishes from the Visiting Brethren , the Lodge ttas closed .

The Brethren afterwards sat down to supper , which was served in Host Brother H . Stone ' s excellent style , the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts being honoured during the evening . o o o

MARQUIS OF RIPON LODGE , N 0 . 1379

ON Thursday , 6 th inst ., the annual meeting was held in the Freemasons' Hall , Darlington . Bro . Hy . Waldy J . W . was installed in the chair of K . S ., the installation ceremony being impressively performed by Bros . C . D . Hill Drury and T . M . Barron . After the installation Bro . T . M . Barron was heartily congratulated upon his elevation to the Aldermanic bench .

Subsequently the Brethren celebrated the festival of St . John at the King ' s Head Hotel . Tho customary Masonic toasts were honoured , and Brother T . Watson was presented with a Past Master ' s jewel in recognition of his services to the Lodge during the past year . o o o

FALCON LODGE , No . 1416

ON the 13 th inst ., at tho Masonic Hall , Thirsk , the installation of Bro . F . R . Hansell P . M . P . P . G . S . took place , in the presence of a large number of local and visiting Brethren . In the absence , through indisposition , of Bro . T . B . Whytehead P . G . S . B . England the ceremony was performed by Bro . Dr . J . S . Walton P . M . 1337 .

After the conclusion of the installation ceremony the annual banquet was held at the Fleece Hotel , when a sumptuous repast was provided by Bro . W . Hall . The usual toasts wero honoured .

o o o CLAUSENTUM LODGE , No . 1461 . THE Brethren met at the Masonic Hall , Woolston , on Thursday , 6 th inst ., for the installation of the Worshipful Master for the ensuing year .
