MoBryde , whom he considered to be a trnly Masonio brother , and one who would make a right good Master . Part of the furniture of that Lodgo , he said , was used when a former Duke of Clarence , afterwards William IV ., was initiated into Freemasonry .

ANOIENT LODGE , No . 203 . THE annual installation ceremony was held on tho 2 lst inst ., at the Masonio Hall , Hops Street , Liverpool , when Bro . Clark was installed as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year . Bro . Clark subsequently invested his Officers , as follow : —Bros . Clough . I . P . M ., Worthington S . W ., Tester J . W ., Hounsell P . M . Treasurer , Highfield Secretary , Fisher S . D ., R . Craig J . D ., Hudson Organist , J . Craig I . G ., Nicholson , Walters , Allsopp Stewards .

FIDELITY LODGE , No . 230 . THE installation banquet was held on the 13 th inst ., at the Royal Hotel , Devonport , and was largely attended . This is the only Lodge in the Province which invites ladies to their annual banquets , and is in consequence one of the largest and molt popular Lodges in the district . The W . M . Bro . Harris presided , and there was a large attendance . A r & chcrchd banquet wa 3 supplied and capitally served up under the direction of Mr . Waters , tho head waiter , while the

genial manageress , Mrs . Greatorex , was deservedly complimented on the admirable arrangements for the banqaet and ball . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were dnly honoured . The W . M . proposed the Grand Lodge of England , the P . G . Lodge of Devonshire , and the P . G . Lodge of Cornwall . Bro . E . Aitken-Davies responded for Devonshire , Bros . Heath and Beraey for Cornwall . The S . W . Brother

Penberthy proposed in appropriate terms the W . M ., who neatly responded . Tbe W . M . gave the I . P . M . andP . M . 's of the Lodge . Bro . Burt the I . P . M . in reply said he felt proud to be able to say that at the close of hia year of office they had a balance in hand of £ 80—and be did , not think any Lodge in the Province had such a large balance at their command . Bros . Maddock and J . R . H . Harris

also replied . The latter Eaid he was pleased to see Bro . Harris in tho chair , because he was one of his initiates , and had proved himself a worthy Mason . It was exactly twelve years ago that night that they first invited ladies to their banquets , and although some predicted it would be a failure , he asked them to look around at that great assembly . The toast of the Treasurer Bro . Littleton P . M .

P . G . S ., and the Secretary Bro . Cawsey P . M . P . P . G . J . D . was most heartily drunk , the W . M . speaking in most complimentary terms of the admirable way in which they carried out their respective duties . The toast of the Senior and Junior Wardens , and Assistant Officers followed . Bro . Pitcher gave the Visitors , to which Bro . Pearn responded for Cornwall , and Bro . Whitfeld for Devonshire . Brother

Maddock proposed Masons' Wives and Sweethearts , and Brothers Orchard aud Littleton acknowledged the same . The banqueting room was then closed for dancing , which was continued up to twc a . m . Bro . Penberthy made a most courteous and efficient M . C . Mr . Brock suppliod the musio . During the dancing a capital concert was given in the room adjoining , under the direotion of Bro . Pitcher P . M . P . P . G . Pursuivant .

LODGE OF UNION , No . 414 . f \ N Tuesday , the 19 th inst ., the ceremony of Installing tho Wor-}~ J Bhipfnl Master of this Antient Lodge took placo at the Masonic Hall , Reading . In consequence of the death of the Duko of Clarence , Irovincial Grand Master of Berkshire , the brethren appeared in mourning , and the usual banquet was dispensed with . Bro . Millar , who had been elected W . M . at the previous meeting of the Lodo-e

Moorhouse afterwards invested his Officers for the year , aa

the Benevolent Institution . The attendance waa small , owing to the large amount of sickness prevalent in the neighbourhood . Amongst the members present were Bros . Archer P . M ., Kittow P . M ., Vioary and Shearm . The visitors included Bros . Phillips P . M . Bombay , India , and Madden S . W . 2188 Koralla , India . The brethren

adjourned to tho dining hall , where un excellent banquet was provided by Bro . and Mrs . Burt , who are to bo congratulated on the admirable manner in which it was sorved . A very tasteful menu and toast list was got up by Bro . Cater W . M ., whioh contained a

photo of himself , under whioh the following words wero printed : — " With fraternal greeting and heart- / good wishes . " Songs were gived by the W . M ., Bros . Archer , Downing , and Martyn , which greatly added to tbe success of the evening .
