A SPECIAL Convocation of Masters , Past Masters , and Wardens of the Masonic Lodges meeting in Plymouth , Devonport and Stonehonse was held on Monday , under the banner of the above senior Lodge , at the Huyshe Masonio Temple , Plymouth . A letter from the Rev . T . W . Lemon , M . A ., P . M . 189 , expressing his regret at being unable to attend , was read . The business was to consider the ohanges to be made in the laws of the Order proposed by the New Constitutions , and to express the opinions of the Convocation thereon . Bro . S . Jew was called upon to preside , and Bro . E . Aitken Davies was appointed Secretary . The variouB proposed changes were then individually submitted and explained , and discussed at some length . With very few exceptions the whole

of the changes met with unanimous approbation . Some explanatory modifications were recommended . Only three changes were opposed , and of those but one considered of special importance . In this oppo sition , however , the Convocation was unanimous , aud Bros . J . E , Cartel ' s and C . Godtsohalk were elected to represent the Province at the coming special meeeing of the Grand Lodge to be held for the passing of the new Constitutions .

The newly-installed W . M . presided . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , and were agreeably interspersed by vocal selections rendered by Miss Smith and Mr . Balchin . Bro . W . The business was to consider the ohanges to be made in the laws of the Order proposed by the New Constitutions , and to express the opinions of the Convocation thereon . Bro . S . Jew was called upon to preside , and Bro . E . Aitken Davies was appointed Secretary . The variouB proposed changes were then individually submitted and explained , and discussed at some length . With very few exceptions the whole

of the changes met with unanimous approbation . Some explanatory modifications were recommended . Only three changes were opposed , and of those but one considered of special importance . In this oppo sition , however , the Convocation was unanimous , aud Bros . J . E , Cartel ' s and C . Godtsohalk were elected to represent the Province at the coming special meeeing of the Grand Lodge to be held for the passing of the new Constitutions .
