United Pilgrims Lodge of Instruction , No . 607 . — On Friday , the 22 nd inst ., at the Surrey Masonio Hall , Camberwell , S . E ., there were present Bros . James Stevens P . M . P . Z . W . M ., Thos . Poore P . M . P . Z . S . W ., J . W . Watts P . M . J . W ., J . N . Bate S . D ., J . B . Serjeant J . D ., G . W . Knight I . G ., John S . Terry P . M . Seoretary , E . Francis , J . Willmot , Richard Poore , J . W . Pooler , H . Stokes

and others . The fourth Friday in eaoh month is , in this Lodge of Instrnction , placed at the disposal of the Preceptor , and on this occasion Bro . Stevens selected the working of the Sections in the First Degree for the business of the evening . The Lodge having been duly opened the first seven sections were worked in the following order , viz .: —lst and 2 nd by Bro . G . W . Kni » ht , 3 rd by Bro . R . Poore ,

4 th by Bro . J . W . Watts P . M ., 5 th by Bro . E . Francis , and 6 th and 7 th by Bro . Tho . Poore P . M . P . Z . The " work " was eminently satisfactory , aud gave much satisfaction to the members present . A vote of thanks to Bro . T . Poore for his attendance and valuable assistance was recorded on the minutes . The W . M . stated his intention to rehearse the Ceremony of Installation on the following Friday evening , the

29 th inst ., placing Bro . Poore in the chair of K . S . He also , as Preceptor , and by request of several brethren , intimated that , on the fourth Friday in October , the 27 th , the F . C . and M . M . seotions would be worked in full . Thanks were voted to the " section workers " of the evening . The Lodge was olosed in perfect harmony aud adjourned .

Panmure Lodge of Instruction , No . 720 . —There was a large attendance of members at the meeting of this Lodge of Instruction , at the Balham Hotel , Balham , on Wednesday evening last , about thirty brethren being assembled to hear the excellent working of Bro . Thomas Poore P . M . as Installing Master . The Lodge was opened in tbe several degrees , and the full ceremony of installation was rehearsed , Bro . Lilley W . M . of the Stuart Lodge , being the

candidate W . M . elect . Several Past Masters assisted , and formed a large Board of I . M . 's . Bro . James Stevens P . M . officiated as M . C . In the course of the evening the Lodge was called off for slight refreshment , and resumed labour ; and , after closing , an agreeable hour was spent in harmony , the brethren separating about ten o ' clock , muoh pleased with the Masonio treat whioh had been afforded them .

Dalhousie Lodge of Instruction , No . 860 . —A meeting was held on Tuesday last , at Bro . Smyth's , Sisters' Tavern , Pownallroad , Dalston . Present—Bros . Smyth W . M ., A . J . Clark S . W ., A . Jones J . W ., F . Carr Secretary , Wardell S . D ., T . Clark J . D ., Christian I . G ., P . M . Bro . Wallington Preceptor ; also Bros . Robinson , Brasted , Lorkin , Darnell . After preliminaries , the ceremony of initiation was

rehearsed , Bro . Robinson oandidate . Lodge was called off and on . Bro . Darnell then offered himself as candidate for passing , and was interrogated and entrusted . Lodge was opened in the second , and Bro . Darnell was passed to the degree of Fellow Craft . Lodge was opened in the third degree , and regularly closed to the first . Bro . A . J . Clark was elected W . M . for the ensuing week .

Tredegar Lodge of Instruction , No . 1625 . —Held at the Royal Hotel , Mile End-road , on 25 th iuat . Present—Bros . Cbitson W . M ., Hammond S . W ., I . P . Cohen J . W ., Clements S . D ., Hnbbert J . D ., Oxley I . G ., Moss Preceptor , T . J . Barnes P . M . Treasarer , Stewart Hon . Secretary ; also Bros . Hopkins , Picking , Peterkin , Davies , and James Gander . Lodge was opened in due form , and the

minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Hopkins candidate . Bro . I . P . Cohen worked the first , second , and third sections of the lecture , assisted by the brethren . Bros . Picking 144 , Hopkins 144 , and Gander 1716 , were elected members of this Lodge . Bro . Hammond S . W . was elected W . M . for next meeting . Bro . Moss proposed , and Bro . I . P . Cohen seconded , that a vote of thanks be recorded on the

minutes for the able manner in whioh Bro . Chitson had worked the ceremony , for the first time in this Lodge . This was carried unanimonsly . Bro . Barnes proposed that Bro . D . Moss be elected Preceptor . This was seconded by Bro . Stewart , and snpported by Bro . I . P . Cohen , who bore testimony to the zeal and ability of Bro . Mo 3 S . This motion was also unanimously agreed to . Lodgo was closed in dne form , and adjourned till 9 th October .

There was a very large and influential attendance on the dais and on the floor of the Lodge , including visitors from sister Lodges . The District Grand Lodge of England attended as a Lodge , composed of Bros . Lodder D . D . G . M ., Moat D . G . S . Warden , Rev . W . Tebbs D . G . Registrar , Wade D . G . Secretary , Warren D . G . Treasurer , Hatswell

D . G . Sword Bearer , Fenton D . G . Pursuivant , Cole D . G . S . D ., Waddel Steward , Katterns D . G . J . D ., Leers D . G . Director , Wilcooks D . G . Sup . Works , and Dr . Dawson . From the P . G . Lodge of Ireland there wero present the R . W . P . G . M . Bro . Pierce , and Major Burns Director of Ceremonies . There were also present Bros . Rale W . M . United Service , and P . M . Suiter of the same Lodge . Lodge Ara also attended

General Gosset W . M . Prince of Wales , and from two members of Lodge Eden . Brother the Rev . W . Tebbs apologised for the unavoidable absence of the Rev . C . M . Nelson D . G . Chaplain , and for Dr . Goldsbro'D . G . J . W . At the

close congratulations were received from Lodges Ara , United Service , Prince of Wales , Remnera , Love and Honour ( 289 England ) , Sir Walter Scott and Coromandel . Bro . Wade also apologised for the absence of members of the Scottish P . G . Lodge , as they had a Grand Lodge meeting that night . The Lodge having been closed in harmony , the brethren assembled at a banquet in the upper room . Here the

most was made of the space , and Bro . MoEwen provided a really excellent banqnet on a most liberal scale . The W . M . was supported on his right by Bro . Lodder D . D . G . M ., and on his left by Bro . G . P . Pierce P . G . M . Soventy-five brethren sat down to table . Tho sub . stantials being cleared , there was little time left for speaking on the toasts which succeeded . The Chairman proposed the toasts of

"The Queen and Craft , H . R . H . thePrinoe of Wales , the M . W . G . M . of England , and the M . W . G . M . 's of Ireland and Scotland , the Dakeof Abercorn and the Earl of Mar and Kelley . " The latter toast was responded to by Bro . Barns P . M ., and Bro . Slater R . W . M . of Lodge St . Andrew . Bro . Slater then proposed " The D . G . M . E . C . aud his Officers , " to whioh Bro . Lodder responded . " The P . G . M . 's of the Irish and Scottish Constitutions " was proposed by Bro . Lodder , and

responded to by Bro . Pierce . Brother Wade proposed " The Health of the newly-installed W . M ., " to which Bro . Kitt made a suitable reply . " Visiting Brethren" was proposed by Bro . Chapman P . M ., and responded to by Bro . Waddel W . M . 689 E . C . and Bro . Wright 348 I . C . The toast of tho " Installing Master" was proposed by Bro . J . Warren I . P . M ., and responded to in suitable and congratulatory terms by Bro . Moat D . G . S . W . The other usual toasts were drunk with honours , and a very enjoyable evening followed .

The Anniversary Meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex will take place , under the presidency of the Right Worshipful Sir Walter Wyndham Burrell , Bart ., M . P ., Provincial Grand Master , at the Royal Pavilion , on Friday , the 13 th day of October next , at half-past two o ' clock p . m .
