MESSRS . CASSBLL AND CO . ' S new fine art Serial , " Sacred Art : The Bible Story Pictured by Eminent Modern Painters , " is meeting with a very wide appreciation . Dean Farrar has written to say that he considers the work " promises to be not only most beautiful , but also most valuable , and it is astonishing that a number so full of fine reproductions of great works should onlv cost Gd . " Dr . Hugh Macmillan thinks it will be " exceedingly

useful in the interpretation of Scripture . The pictures , " he says , " are the works of some of the most famous artists , and have been most beautifully reproduced .
