REPORTS OF MEETINGS .
"We shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and where desired will endeavour to send a representative to report Lodge or other proceedings .
OEAET : METROPOLITAN
BEADON LODGE , No . 619 . THE annual installation meeting was held on Wednesday , 20 th inst ., at the Holborn Restaurant . In consequence of a severe domestic affliction , the Worshipful Master Bro . Charles Meierhoff was not able to be present , and his place as president of the gathering devolved upon the Immediate Past Master Bro . Moss Chapman , who opened the Lodge with the customary formalities .
At the opening of the Lodge Bro . Norrington Secretary communicatep to the Brethren the melancholy circumstance which necessitated the absence of Bro . Meierhoff , after which , on the motion of Past Master Carl T . Fleck , seconded by Past Master H . Massey , a resolution of condolence and sympathy with the Worshipful Master on his loss was unanimously passed . Bro . Norrington P . M . and Secretary afterwards took the chair , and installed Bro . Edward Croft Wise S . W . as Master of the Lodge for the ensuing twelve months , and he appointed his Officers . Bro . C . T . Fleck P . M . acted as Director of Ceremonies throughout the proceedings .
Bro . J . C . Hayes P . M ., who had been unanimously re-elected the Treasurer at the August meeting , was unable to attend for investiture , having been called away to Paris . The elected Tyler , Bro . Thomas Bowler , was absent through illness . The offices of Inner Guard and Steward remained over until the next meeting for appointment and investiture . The new Worshipful Master announced that he would take the office of Steward for the Lodge at the Centenary Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys .
The closing of the Lodge was followed by an excellent banquet , and the proposition of the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts . The speeches in which these were proposed and responded to were interspersed with singing and instrumental music by Mr . H . E . Cockell , Miss Evelyn Russell , Mr . G . W . Beste , Mr . C . Norrington , and Mr . Fred Stephens , the accompanist being Miss Gertrude Russell , says the " City Press . "
Bro . Walter Martin Assistant Grand Pursuivant responded to the toast of the Grand Officers , and congratulated the Lodge on having for its Worshipful Master Bro . E . Oroft Wise , who for a long time had been his pupil in Masonry , and who was one of the most hard-working and painstaking of Brethren . For the Grand Officers he had to say they were always ready to visit Lodges , and to do all they could to enhance the character and
add to the respectability of the grand Order . Bro . Moss Chapman P . M . proposed the health of the Worshi pful Master and said that , fortunately , Bro . Walter Martin had told the Brethren what the good qualities of the W . M . were , and he could only add to what Bro . Martin had said that Bro . Croft Wise would be found b y the members of the Beadon Lodge to be all that was desired .
The W . M ., in reply , said a good deal of regret was felt that night by him . Firstly , he regretted the absence of Past Masters who had been very kind to him during the whole period he had been in the Lodge . Another regret was at the absence of the I . P . M ., who had suffered a sad bereavement . It was a solemn reflection , and the event reminded them that they must all come to their eternal rest . Among all the solemnity however , he felt great pride at having acquired the chair of the Beadon
Lodge . Some Past Masters present would remember what he said on the first night he entered the Beadon Lodge room . He had the impudence then to warn the W . M . that they , even the Officers present with collars , had better look out , because he was going for the chair . Well , he had done so and he had obtained it . He hoped he should not disgrace the Lodge , as ho had not disgraced it in the five years he had belonged to it . He had arrived at the chaii rather quickly , but not entirely by his own efforts . Bro
Walter Martin and other friends had greatly helped him . He attached much importance to Lodges of Instruction , as if Brethren attended them they would become fully qualified for the office of Master . That was where he acquired his knowledge . There wore plenty of them about , and if a Brother went to them , and said what Office he wished to qualify for he would find no difficulty in getting an opportunity to do so . He wished all the
Brethren , however , to understand that much depended upon the Past Masters of a Lodge , and if they would consult with and be guided by P . M . ' s they would find every help and support they needed . He full y appreciated the help and support he had had from the Past Masters of the Beadon Lodge , and he was sure he would have all he wanted in the shape of aid in the future .

The Lodge was advanced to the second degree and the same Brother was passed as a Fellow Craft .
Lodge was resumed to the first degree , and the ballot for initiation was taken for Messrs . Morris Albert Rockrnan , Joseph Woodford , and Frederick William Brock , which proving unanimousl y in their favour , those gentlemen were subsequently initiated into the mysteries of Ancient Freemasonry
Reports Of Meetings.
After a few more Masonic transactions and hearty good wishes the Lodge was closed , and the Brethren adjourned to the banqueting room , where an excellent dinner was provided , the reputation of the Holborn Restaurant being well sustained on this occasion . Upon the termination of the repast , the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured from the chair and responded to by the Brethren . Bro . W . M . Roberts I . P . M . in an eloquent manner proposed the health of
the W . M ., which compliment he duly acknowledged . Other toasts were followed by that of the Initiates . Bro . M . A . Rockrnan , replying thereto , thanked the W . M . for proposing his health , and the Brethren for accepting it in such a hearty manner . He was very much impressed with the ceremony , and would do his best to show the Brethren that he was worthy of being elected a Brother amongst them . Bros . Woodford and Brock also responded in suitable terms .
The health of the Visitors was heartily proposed from the chair , and several of the guests acknowledged it . The toasts of the Past Masters , Secretary , and the Officers , each came in for notice , and the compliments were duly acknowledged . The programme of music was highly appreciated alike by the members and visitors , Bro . B . P . Delevanti being the Organist .
ALL SAINTS LODGE , No . 1716 . ESTABLISHED just twenty years ago , this Lodge has progressed to such an extent that it takes a front place among metropolitan Lodges , not only for the number of its members ( of whom there are now 126 ) , but for its excellent working of the ritual and the assistance it gives to the Masonic Charities . It is , therefore , with much pleasure that we hail the advent of
another initiate of the Lodge to the chair , and there can be but little doubt that Bro . Ernest Jones will fulfil the high expectations formed of him , and the Lodge resume its career of prosperity . By a special dispensation of the Grand Master , which was asked for in account of the better convenience of the visiting Brethren , the annual festival took place on the 21 st inst ., at the Holborn Restaurant , W .
