P . S . The latter appointed Comps . Davies and Pearcy his Assistants . Comp . Thomas wasre-elected Janitor . The auditors'report was read and proved satisfactory , after which the Chapter was duly closed , and the Comps . adjourned to an excellent banquet , served by the managers o the Guildhall Tavern in their usual oxcellent manner . The routine toasts were proposed and severally responded to . During the proceedings a handsome P . Z . ' s Jewel was presented to Comp . Terry

P . Z . by the M . E . Z . in the name of the brethren . The gift was gracefully acknowledged by Comp . Terry . A very handsome pair of vases was also subscribed for , and presented to Comp . Terry by the Comps . The M . E . Z . made some remarks on the kindness of feeling exhibited towards Comp . Terry by all wbo knew him . Ho hoped be would live long to enjoy tho honours he had so well earned . Comp . Terry made an excellent reply .

A ballot was then taken for Bro . Pike of the Mother

Lodge , which being unanimous iu his favour , he was regularly exalted to the degree of a Royal Arch Mason . This being the annual convocation , Comp . Wm . Stephens regularly installed Companion Tinney First Principal for the ensuing year , after which Comp . W . J . Murlis was installed into the chair of H . The installation of Comp . Moore , who had been duly elected to the Third Cnair , he being prevented by

business from attending , was deferre ; until a future meeting . The Officers were then invested as follow : —Comps . Wm . Stephens ( re . invested ] Treasurer , Jas . The duty of presenting the retiring First Priucipal with a valuable jewel was entrusted to Comp . Wm . Stephens P . Z ., who , in complimentary and feeling language , in the name of the Chapter , placed on the breast of

Compauiou Kingston the insignia of a Past Principal . He , in grateful Bentiments , acknowledged the honour . Comp . Massey returned thanks for the Visitors , and the Janitor ' s toast brought an enjoyable evening to a close . The sum of five guineas was voted to the Royal Masonic Institution for Aged Masons .

Individually he had derived very much pleasare from the excellent working of Bro . Ellis , aud felt it reflected credit both npon him aud upon the Lodge , —carried unanimously , Bro . Barnes P . M . aud S . W . in announcing this to Bro . Ellis , expressed his entire concurrence with ad Bro . Uuudick had said . He hud no more pleasurable recollection

oi the working of tue Fifteen Sections than on the present occasion . Having occupied tho S . W . chair on very many similar occasions , he was sure that Bro . Ellis had acquitted himself most ably ; it moreover , was his first time oi working the Fifteen Sections . He also alluded to tho perfect working of the brethren , without exception , and felt it a great compliment to hear his owu system so ably rendered . Bro . Treas ., J . Weaver P . Z . Scribe E ., Juo . Hi gh Scribe N ., J . Glaskin P . Soj . The Chapter was opened in due form , and the minutes of the previous convocation confirmed . A ballot was then taken for Bro . Pike of the Mother

Lodge , which being unanimous iu his favour , he was regularly exalted to the degree of a Royal Arch Mason . This being the annual convocation , Comp . Wm . Stephens regularly installed Companion Tinney First Principal for the ensuing year , after which Comp . W . J . Murlis was installed into the chair of H . The installation of Comp . Moore , who had been duly elected to the Third Cnair , he being prevented by

business from attending , was deferre ; until a future meeting . The Officers were then invested as follow : —Comps . Wm . Stephens ( re . invested ] Treasurer , Jas . Weaver ( re-invested ) Scribe E ., Jas . Glaskin Scribe N ., W . Grist P . Soj ., Geo . Penn First Asst ., S . Parkhotise Second Asst . The business being over , the Companions sat down to a very excellent banquet , and the usual toasts were hououred . Comp .

Kingston presided , in the absence of the M . E . Z ., who , from professional engagements , had been compelled to leave . The duty of presenting the retiring First Priucipal with a valuable jewel was entrusted to Comp . Wm . Stephens P . Z ., who , in complimentary and feeling language , in the name of the Chapter , placed on the breast of

Compauiou Kingston the insignia of a Past Principal . He , in grateful Bentiments , acknowledged the honour . Comp . Massey returned thanks for the Visitors , and the Janitor ' s toast brought an enjoyable evening to a close . The sum of five guineas was voted to the Royal Masonic Institution for Aged Masons .

Saunders 33 , Kuight 95 , Phillips 205 , Bone 765 , Graveley 898 , Goldstein 898 , Haynes 898 , Holland 1321 , Simkins 1421 and Furness 1421 were duly elected members . Bro . B . Cundiok P . M . and Preceptor proposed that a vote of thanks be recorded upon

the minutes , and that the W . M . be elected au honorary member , tie was sure this mark of respect was richly deserved . Individually he had derived very much pleasare from the excellent working of Bro . Ellis , aud felt it reflected credit both npon him aud upon the Lodge , —carried unanimously , Bro . Barnes P . M . aud S . W . in announcing this to Bro . Ellis , expressed his entire concurrence with ad Bro . Uuudick had said . He hud no more pleasurable recollection

oi the working of tue Fifteen Sections than on the present occasion . Having occupied tho S . W . chair on very many similar occasions , he was sure that Bro . Ellis had acquitted himself most ably ; it moreover , was his first time oi working the Fifteen Sections . He also alluded to tho perfect working of the brethren , without exception , and felt it a great compliment to hear his owu system so ably rendered . Bro . Ji . iis having replied , votes of thanks to the working brethren fol . ¦ owed , aud the Lodge was closed in due form , aud adjourned .
