Reports Of Meetings.

Brethren of the English , Scotch and Irish Constitutions , who have been in business at the Glasgow Exhibition , during the past six months met together on the 7 th inst , in the Masonic Hall , Anderston . An entertainment in the form of a smoking concert was given and greatly enjoyed . Amongst

others who entertained the company were Bros . Gideon Duncan , J ohn Gilchrist , Tom Ferguson , and Alex . Patterson , of the Glasgow Select Choir , who rendered some part songs .

Bros . Nettleship and Roberts replied to the toast of the Grand Lodge of England , proposed by Bro . J . MacNaught Campbell . Ex-Bailie Michael Simons D . P . G . M . wrote wishing the meeting every success .

********** The Duke of Connaught Grand Master of England will , as Grand Master of the Order of the Temple in Ireland , preside at an investiture of K . C . T . S . and G . C . T . S . in the Masonic Hall , Molesworth Street , Dublin , on the evening of Thursday ,

19 th December . He will on the same evening preside at a grand banquet of Knights Templar . Additional interest is attached to the forthcoming function by the fact that the Grand Master of England will preside in his official capacity , as head of the Order of the Temple in Ireland , over a meeting of the Great Priory .

At the Queen ' s Hotel , Exeter , on Tuesday , 26 th inst ., Bro . J . E . Railing was presented , as a mark of esteem and friendship , with a cheque and an illuminated album , on his leaving Exeter for Colchester . Bro . Railing has carried on

business in Exeter for many years , and , besides being a prominent Mason , has taken an active interest in the Hospital Saturday movement , and the Mayor ' s Poor Box dance . Bro . Railing feelingly acknowledged the kindness which had

prompted his friends , whose presentation would always remind him of pleasant associations he had enjoyed during his residence in Exeter . The health of Bro . Railing was drunk with musical honours .
