Thomas Uaslam as W . M ., and fche investiture of Officers , the ceremony being performed by the retiring W . M ., who was assisted by Past Masters of thu Lodge . The installation ceremony was rendered with choral accompaniments , and was a very successful and imposing

function . We have known Bro . Thomas Haslam from boyhood , and have wa'ohed with marked interest his progress throngh tbe various itages in the St . John ' s Lodge . At this period of his Masonic career we

wieh hini health and prosperity , and a successful year of offioe , feeling sure that he will display in his new position all the requisite enthusiasm , activity , and intelligence which may be demanded of him .

ROYAL GLOUCESTER LODGE , No . 130 . A MEETING was held at tho Mosonio Hall , Southompton , on Thursday , the 14 th inst ., when W . M . C . T . Penny presided , and Bro . Bernard Fairfield , J . P ., was elected W . M . for the ensuing year . There was a large attendance of members and visitors , and afc fche conclusion of the business the usual banquet was held and a pleasant time spent in social interoonrae .

M . gavo the toasts with commendable brevity . Bro . P . M . Ferguson , in proposing tho health of tho W . M ., spoke ol his genial and courteous manner , his great abilities iu discharging

his duties , and regretted exceedingly the W . M . had nofc had more opportunities to display his great knowledge of the ritual . The W . M . replied , thanking the brethren heartily for their kindness and support during his year of office . The health of tbe W . M . lect was received with hearty greeting , the

W . M . stating that Bro . Barnett was much esteemed in tho Lodge , his great qualifications included past services ss W . M ., Steward for the Charities , and in undertaking any duty for the benefit of tbe Cra fc . The toast was received with great enthusiasm . Bro . Barnett thanked the W . M . and brethren for their kindness .

He recognised the responsibility attached to so important a position as that of W . M . of the Domatie Lodge . He shonld at all times be anxious to meet the P . M . LOYAL VICTORIA LODGE , No . 557 . rilHE brethren of this Lodge met at the Masonio Hall , Callington , 1 to instal the W . M . Bro . G . T . Lakeman for the ensuing year , und to celebrate the festival of St . John tbe Evangelist . After tbe despatch of tho usual business a Board of Installed Masters was formed . Bro . Williams then presented Bro , Lakeman to receive the benefit of installation . Bro . Lakeman ' s qualifications being considered satisfactory , he was duly installed in the ohair of King

Solomon , the ceremony being most efficiently carried onfc by Bro . G . Morgan . The W . M . appointed and invested his Officers . Subsequently the brethren adjourned to Bro .
