function . We have known Bro . Thomas Haslam from boyhood , and have wa'ohed with marked interest his progress throngh tbe various itages in the St . John ' s Lodge . At this period of his Masonic career we

P ., was elected W . M . for the ensuing year . his duties , and regretted exceedingly the W . M . had nofc had more opportunities to display his great knowledge of the ritual . The W . M . replied , thanking the brethren heartily for their kindness and support during his year of office . The health of tbe W . M . lect was received with hearty greeting , the
W . M . stating that Bro . Barnett was much esteemed in tho Lodge , his great qualifications included past services ss W . M ., Steward for the Charities , and in undertaking any duty for the benefit of tbe Cra fc . The toast was received with great enthusiasm . Bro . Barnett thanked the W . M . and brethren for their kindness .
