BRETHREN , —As I find it impossible to address personally all tho brethren eligible to attend tho Provincial Grand Lodge , 1 venture to ask , through the medium of tho Masonio Press , your kind support and interest at the next meeting , whan I shall again offer myself as a candidato for the position ot' Provincial Grand Treasure for Essex . It is , perhaps , unnecessary for mo to state tho general claims npon which I seek your voto , because theso wore e . xpro-sod , in kindly terms , at the large and influential gathering hold last year , when I lost the election by a small majority . I might , however , observe that a number of brethren wish mo success , remembo-ing the fact that I was first , iu 18 SS , invited to test the feeling of Provincial Gvaml Lodge , on the piinciplo that the offlue of Treasurer should bo held one year only by the same brother . On that o -casion I lost the election by three votes ( doubtless through my absence , owing to a family bereavement ) , but tho main principle was affirmed .
