having been read and confirmed , whereby the bye-laws have been altered , thus dispensing with the August and September meetings , Bro . Allen proceeded to instal Bro . John Greenfield , the W . M . elect , who was presented by Bro . Finch . The ceremony was performed in a most eloquent and impressive manner . The W . M . then addressed
and invested the following Officers : —Bros . Allen S . W ., Foxley J . W ., Finch Treasurer , C . Dearing Secretary , Holcombe S . D ., Withers J . D ., Cutbill I . G ., Fenton D . C ., Bailey W . S . Bro . Iunes proposed , and Bro . Linscott seconded , that a vote of thanks bo recorded upon the minutes to the Rev . Stndholme Brownrigg D . P . G . M . for his
kindness in attending fche Lodge . This was dnly passed and acknowledged . A proposition for Bro . Harling , as a joining member , was then received . Tho W . M . presented the I . P . M ., Bro . Innes , with a
valuable Past Master s jewel , which had been unanimously voted by tho Lodge ; he also tendered Bro . Innes the best thanks of the members for the faithful and able way in which he had discharged his duties . Brother Innes thanked the brethren for tho kind
feeling they had displayed in presenting him with a Past Master ' s jewel , also for the support he had received during his year of office . Lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjourned to banquet , which was served by Host Deacon iu a very creditable manner . In clue order the usual toasts were honoured , and hearty
good wishes to the W . M . were received by telegram from Hartington Lodge , No . 1085 . The D . P . G . M . proposed the health of ' the W . M ., and in so doing remarked thafc he had to visit a great number of Lodges in discharge of his official duties , but had never seen the work done with greater dignity or ability than on that
occasion . The W . M ., in responding , said thafc ho had but one desire , viz , to discharge his duty as a ruler in the Craft and Master of the Lodge . The Master proposed the health of fche Officers , with which he coupled the names of the Treasurer and Secretary . The Tyler's toasfc brought the proceedings to a close .

M . who represented the Lodge , " proposed its adoption . This was seconded by Bro .
Prickefct and carried . Mr . Henry Daniel Jones , approved at the last regular Lodge , was initiated into the mysteries of antieufc Freemasonry . The ceremony was correctly performed by the Worshipful Master . Lodge was opened in the second degree . Brother Thomas Perkins Stewart , a candidate for raising , having
satisfactorily answered the usual questions , was entrusted and retired . The Lodge was opened in the third degree , and Bro . Stewart was readmitted and raised to the sublime degree of M . M . The ceremony was performed by the W . M ., heightened by vocal and instrnmental music under the direction of Bro . Hickie Organist . The Lodge was
resumed , and a ballot was taken for W . M . for the ensuing year , and Bro . Pricketfc S . W . was nnanimously elected to the chair of Kin " Solomon . The ballot was taken for Treasurer , and Bro . the Secretary was instructed to place the name on the agenda for ballot at fche next regular meeting . After fche close of the Lodge , fche brethren adjourned to fche Crown Hotel , where they partook of a sumptuous banquet , afc which fche usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured . The I . P . M . was warmly congratulated on his
ability as Installing Master , and the new Worshipful Master was also complimented by the Visitors and others on fche perfect manner in which he closed the Lodge in the three degrees . Tho toasfc of the newly created Province of Shropshire and its first Provincial Grand

Thomas Coulthard , for the benefit of installation . The newly-installed Master having been saluted according to ancient ; custom , invested and appointed his Officers , viz ., Bros . Alfred A .

Past Master Vincent again accepted the appointment of Director of Ceremonies , and Bros . VV . Weston , C . Lee , A . J . Bigwood , and J , Grist were appointed to minor offices . After the initiation of Messrs .
Thomas Evans and William Hellyar , by the new Master , Lodge waa closed in due form , and the brethren adjourned to the banquetting room , where a recherche dinner was served . Afc the conclusion of the repast , the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were given , much enthusiasm being manifested when Bro . Bottle tho Immediate Pasfc
Master was presented with the customary jewel for his services in the chair . In response , Bro . Bottle said he entered the Lodge nine years ago , and dnring thafc period he had filled most of the offices . He trusted that fche brethren would accord to his successor the same sympathy and cordiality which he had received ; the
assistance and hearty co-operation of the Past Masters aud Officers rendered the duties of the Master comparatively easy . Ho thanked them from his heart for the handsome jewel which had beeu awarded him , and he trnsted that he mighfc be spared many years to wear ib among the brethreu of the Lodge . The W . M ., in responding to the
toast of his health , which was received with great cordiality , said he should carry out the duties of his high office to the best of his ability , and he hoped that he should give as much satisfaction as his predecessor . The toast of the Past Masters , all of whom with one
