Bro . R . C . Else P . G . M . M ., who was supported by Bro . Colonel Long D . P . G . M . M . and Bro . Viscount Dungarvan , presiding .

The brethren present included Bros . Holroyd G . S . O ., Parker G . J . O ., Elworthy Secretary , Rodway Treasnrer , Rev . C . J . W . Connell Assist . Chaplain , Dunsford Registrar , Bidgood D . C ., Manning , Knight , Phillis , Good , York , J . L . Bewsey , S . Bewsey , Parker , Davie , Smith , Hodges ,

Perkins , Sincock , Spill , Marver , Budd , Macdonald , Wilson , Watts , Ruble , Lawson , Howes , Barratt , Mercer , Knight , Marshall , Clark , Humphrey , Duckett . The Prov . Grand Secretary Bro . Elworthy called the roll of the Lodges , and all in the Province were found to be represented , with one

exception only . Bro . Rodway Treasurer read the annual accounts of the Prov . Grand Lodge , showing a balance of £ 71 3 s 2 d in hand . The accounts were adopted , and the Treasurer was congratulated on rendering so satisfactory an account . The following Prov . Grand Lodge Officers were appointed and invested for the ensuing year : —

THE installation meeting waa held on Tuesday , 13 th October , in the Board Room of the Corn Exchange , when Brother Satthery waa installed in the ohair in succession to Bro . Cramphorn . The ceremony of installation waa ably performed by Bro . Lewin P . M . Grand Standard Bearer England P . P . G . J . W . P . G . Treasurer . The W . M . afterwards appointed hia Officers , aa follow : —Bro . Hay S . W .,

waa served to the brethren at the White Hart Hotel , in excellent style . The sadden death of Bro . Lamarqne , who was to have been present and to hare received office , was made the occasion of an affecting ceremonial when the toast of the Officers of the Lodge waa given .

DE TABLEY LODGE , No . 396 . THIS Lodge celebrated the festival of St . John , at the Masonio Rooms , Commercial Hotel , Frodaham , on Wednesday , 24 th inst ., when there was a good attendance of brethren . Daring the evening Bro . Digges was installed Worshipfnl Mark Master for the ensning year , the ceremony being impressively performed by Bros . Ramsden and Edwards Installing Masters , assisted by Bros . Ashton I . P . M .

and Heywood P . M . The W . M . M . afterwards invested the following Officers with their collars and jewels of office , & o ., viz .: —Brothers Ashton I . P . M ., Harrison S . W ., White J . W ., Marston M . O ., Hollard

The objects and aims of the Association are to mutually assist all ex-pnpils of the Royal Masonio Institution for Boys who may , from time to ' imp , be enrolled members of the Association : to farther generally the interests of all old scholars of the Royal Masonio Institution for Boys and to encourage friendship between them . leaving school no provision has been made to keep the old boys in touch either with their Alma Hater or with the Craft that has so generously provided the means that fit them to fight the battle of life . At the termination of school life the boys return to their homes , and , with the exception of gratitude , their connection with Freo .

masonry is practically severed . Aa it waa throngh the Brotherhood of our fathers that we obtained the advantages of a liberal education we , aa sons , wish to form a similar Brotherhood , so that we may give a helping hand to any of onr schoolfellows who may be in need of assistance . The Association ia composed of yonng men who , although willing

to give time and energy to the work , are quite unable to assist financially . It ia therefore necessary if the Association ia to be useful that it shonld possess a fund , tbe nnoleua of whioh has already been fonnded , and so enable them to carry out the objects for whioh the Association was established .

May we therefore aa the " Boys " of Freemasony ask those who have been ao generous in onr boyhood to continue this generosity in that most important part of a lad ' s life—his entrance into the great world . Gentlemen taking an interest may greatly assist the objects of tho

Association by becoming Vice-Presidents . It has been proposed that if the permission of the authorities can be obtained , a day should be set apart yearly at the School to be called " Old Boys' Day , " so that a fellowship may exist between Paat and Preaent .

We make no apology for reminding our readers that Bro . James Stevens will pay a second visit to Norwich , as the guest of the Cabbell Lodge , No . 807 , on Friday next , the Gth November , when he will continne his discourse on the Ritual and Ceremonial of Symbolic Freemasonry . We

congratulate Bro . Stevens on the attention which the Lodges are * paying to these lectures . As we have said before , Bro . Stevens should be heard by all who take interest in Craft Working . We may add that he has been engaged to lecture at Nottingham , on the 27 th November , nnder the banner of the Annesiey Lodge , No . 1435 .
