ON Saturday laat an influential meeting of Ma 3 ons , members of various metropolitan amateur rowing clubs , was held at Putney , to consider the advisability of forming a Lodge for amateur oarsmen , much on the same principle as the Ilex Swimming Club wa 3 formed some years ago .
