Wardens in the Grand Lpdge . ) They are of different degrees and are distinguished by the following letters set after their names . ' To the first Z . — : — : — Second H . Third J . Neitherthe second or the third can sit in the place of the first , nor
can the third sit in the place of the second . It is , therefore , usual to elect a Grand Officer to the third office . Aftel" he has presided in that station once , he is eligible to be elected to the second office ; and then , to the principal , or first . Any officer having gone through the duties of the superior , may ( for the time being ) be placed in either of the three stations , in case of absence of either of the three chiefs .
