times in which the circumstances occurred . But it would be idle to dilate further on the productions of the editor of these volumes . They have established his name as an useful Masonic writer , devoting industry , learning , and talents , to the noble purpose of disseminating truth and exalting the Order to its legitimate rank in the walks of
literature and science . We are sorry to hear that he is about retiring from the field . Throughout the entire five volumes the notes are very copious , appropriate and explanatory . Every accessible source has been ransacked to furnish forth the literary feast , and
