M ., Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis , Bart-, and the Brethren of the Phcenix Lodge , Portsmouth ; Royal Sussex LoclgePortsea ; and several Brethren from Southampton and

M- of the Loclge of Harmony very ably presided , ancl contributed m no inconsiderable degree to the comfort and enjoyment of the assembled votaries « ofthe mystic tie , " ancl Brothers Hewitt and AV . N . Beattie filled the Senior and Junior Warden ' s chairs with credit to themselves and satisfaction to the meeting .
UHUD LEIGH — there was a goodly gathering ofthe clan Masonic , to do lull honour to the retirement of Brother Captain Powney from the chair , on which occasion he received the well-merited compliment of an elegant Past Master ' s jewel . Captain Dickson succeeds him as Master and is in every respect worth y his esteemed predecessor . It could be wished that a little more independence generally prevailed , but , perhaps under circumstances , things are pretty well as they are . most
