Freemasonry. A Unique Drawing In Calligr...
FREEMASONRY . A Unique Drawing in Calligraphy of His Late Royal Hig hness the Duke of Sussex . Just Published , A REAL CURIOSITY OF GREAT INGENUITY , BEING
A BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Of that Illustrious Nobleman THE LATE DUKE OF SUSSEX , Exquisitely drawn on Stone , by Mr . Louis GLUCK ROSENTHAL , who , after a steady perseverance of long duration , has produced a Work which is unequalled in this or any other Country . It consists
Of trie Portrait of His iate Royal I-Hgrhaess in full lengrtn , Bitting on a Throne as Acting : Grand SEaster of tae Royal Order of Freemasons , arrayed in liis Kooes , & . e . A perpetual line forms the outline , the Shades running through the whole Picture , in which may be read in small but very distinct characters , the Life , many Anecdotes , and much other interesting matter respecting that Great Prince . The reading commences at
the right-band below the outline , and terminates at the mark in the middle of the top line of the Work . It were utterly impossible , by any attempt at description in a mere Prospectus , to do justice to the merits of this transcendent Specimen of Art , or even to convey any idea of the ingenious design of the Artist—a minute examination being absolutely necessary to discover the elaborate workmanship it contains . Some conception of its intricate character may be formed from the factthat the Artist has been constantlengaged in its
produc-, y tion during the last four months . A truly rational and very delightful source of amusement and instruction may be derived in reading the Historical Volume during the forthcoming long winter evenings , by tracing the perpetual lines which compose this really astonishing and wonderful proof of Artistic Perseverance . 189 , WELLINGTON TERRACE , WATERLOO ROAD .
