Ransford was unanimously elected W . M . ; Bro . J . C . Jessett unanimously re-elected Treas . ; and Bro . Gilbert , Tyler . A Past Master ' s jewel was unanimously voted to the retiring W .

Master for his very efficient services , t he resignation ot Bro . W . Ballard was received with regret . The lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjourned to the banquet , which was capitally served by Bro . Mella and assistants . The customary toasts were duly honoured and a most agreeable evening was spent .

CAMBORNE .-Mount Edgcumbe Lodge ( No . 1544 ) . —The brethren of tbe above lodge celebrated the festival of St . At the close of the business the brethren sat down to a banquet admirably supplied by Bro . W . Viall , at the White Hart Hotel . After dinner the usual loyal and Masonic toast list was gone through . Bro . Cock , in replying to the toast of " The Prov . Grand Master and the Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge , ' ? complimented the brethren of the lodge

for the manner in which they welcomed the Provincial Grand Lodge this year . Bro . Vivian , in responding , said he was proud of the collar conferred upon him , but still more proud of the good feeling which marked the meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge . The toast of "The W . M . " was suitably proposed by

Bro . Vine , and cordially responded to . Bro . Rodda next submitted the toast of "The I . P . M ., " complimenting him upon the able manner in which he had carried out his duties . The toast of " The Visitors" was submitted by Bro .

P . G . D . C , for his invaluable services as Installing Master .

Votes of thanks were also accorded to Bro . W . R . Fowler , P . M ., Treas ., and Bro . J . Guyatt , Sec , for their efficient services during the year . At the conclusion , the brethren adjourned to the banqueting-hall , where a recherche banquet was served in a

manner reflecting great credit upon Mr . Pearce , the Steward of the Freemasons' Club . In consequence of the lamented death of Bro . J . Godding , I . P . M ., only the customary Masonic toasts were duly honoured , the harmony usually indulged in being dispensed with .

Grand Master and the Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge , ' ? complimented the brethren of the lodge

for the manner in which they welcomed the Provincial Grand Lodge this year . Bro . Vivian , in responding , said he was proud of the collar conferred upon him , but still more proud of the good feeling which marked the meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge . The toast of "The W . , opened in the Second Degree . The ist and 2 nd Sections of the Lecture were worked by the Preceptor , assisted by the brethren . The Fourth Section was worked by the Preceptor , the questions being put by Bro . Sims . The lodge was resumed to the First Degree . Bro . Pattison was elected a joining member . A vote of thanks was passed to Bro . Bolt for the excellent manner in which he had performed the duties of W . M . for the first time in this lodge . Bro . Coat was elected VV . M . for the next meeting . The lodge was then closed .

Lodge was opened in the Frst Degree , and the minutes of the last meeting read and confirmed . Lodge was opened in the Second Degree , and the ist Section of the Lecture worked by the bretliren , under the direction of the W . M . Bro . A . Williams offering himself candidate for raising , was examined and entrusted . Lodge was opened in the Third Degree , and the ceremony of raising renearsed

Lodge was resumed to the First Degree , and the 2 nd Section of the Lecture worked by the brethren , under thc direction of the W . M . Bro . E . D . Aslett was unanimously elected W . M . for next meeting . After " Hearty good wishes " given and acknowledged , the lodge was closed .

LOUGHBOROUGH LODGE . —The usual weeklv meeting was held on Monday , the 26 th ult ., at the Gauden Ho ' tel , Claphamroad Station ( L . C . & D . R . ) , when there were present Bros . Esling , W . The lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . The ist Section of the Lecture was worked by Bro . Westley , assisted by the brethren , and the 2 nd and 3 rd Sections by Bro . Andrews , assisted by the brethren . The ceremony of initiation was worked by the W . M ., Bro . Esling , in his usual correct and impressive manner , with Bro . Cochrane as C o ? dld » 5 ?* u The W , M * rose for the first time - and Bros - Spencer , 186 ; Mitchell , io $ 6 ; and Lovell were elected joining members ; those brethren briefly respondedand the dues were collected . The

, W . M . rose for the second time , and Bro . J . Wri"ht , S . W ., was elected W . M . for the ensuing week . Bro . Wright returned thanks , and appointed the officers in rotation . The Preceptor announced that the Fifteen Sections would be worked by the members of the lodge on Monday , the 17 th inst . The W . M . rose for the third time , and . all Masonic business beingended , the lodge was closed in due form , ° There will be two ballots of the Benevolent Association at the next meeting .

LEWIS CHAPTER ( No . 1185 ) . —A regular convocation of this chapter was held on Saturday , the 24 th ult ., at the King ' s Arms Hotel , Wood Green , when there were present Comps . George Powell , P . 2 ., M . E . Z : J . H . Crowther P . Z ., H . ; H . T . Thompson , P . Z ., acting J . * cl ; j- Row , P . Z ., Scribe E . and Treas . ; Hildreth , S . N . j Carr , P . Soj . ; Gushing , ist Asst . Soj . ; Crunden , 2 nd Assist . Soj . ; Dr . Morris , Orme , Curry , Rowe , Janitor , and others .

1 he chapter was opened , and the minutes and the balance sheet read and adopted . The ballot was then taken for Bro . H . W . Curry , late of Lodge No . 228 , who was unanimously elected and afterwards exalted in * an admirable manner by the M . E . Z ., ably assisted by his officers . Comp . Hildreth announced his intention of serving as bteward for

the Koyal Masonic Benevolent Institution , and asked to be allowed to represent the chapter . This was agreed to , and the sum of five guineas was unanimously voted from the funds of the chapter to be placed on his list . The M . E . Zand Comp .
