LIVERPOOL . —Dramatic Lodge ( No . 1609 ) . —Seldom has the monthly meeting of any lodge been of a more interesting character than was the case with this lodge , held on Tuesday , the 22 nd ult ., at the Masonic Temple , Hope-street . There are present in the city a large number of Masonic brethren engaged in the Carl

Rosa Opera Company , at the Royal Court Theatre , and in the various pantomimes that are in progress ; and this knowledge had the effect of making the number of those present at the usual monthly meeting of the lodge largely in excess of the ordinary attendance . After the work of the lodge had been disposed of , the brethren adjourned to the diriing-hall for suitable refreshment , and an enjoyable programme was subsequently provided by Bros . Max Eugene Payne , Clarke , E . Edwards , S . Kirkham , ] . Cantor , Eaton Batty , T . C Fargher , and others .

GUERNSEY . —Fidelis Lodge ( No . 1809 ) .-It must have been with feelings of considerable gratification to the founder cf this lodge , that on Wednesday evening , the 23 rd ult ., it the Masonic Temple , La Marchantstreet , he had the satisfaction of installing into the chair Bro . Entwisle , the W . M . for the ensuing year , in the presence of noless than 27 Past Masters and over 50

brethren of the Crift . Lodge Fidelis was opened in 1 S 78 , and its existence s due to the efforts of Bro . T . M . Bichard , a most panstaking and zealous Mason . Originally an offshoot of Loyalty Lodge , its career so far has been one of steady and uninterrupted advancement , and both Mariners and . oyalty must look well to their laurels , else the progressive spirit so evident in the members of

this young lodge bid fair to snatch them away , and place Fidelis at the head if the Guernsey lodges , as regards unity , numbers , and ifficiency . The Auditor ' s repot , which was presented and read by Bro . Pengelley , evidenced a very satisfactory condition of the financial state of ihe lodge . On the conclusion of the work in lodge , the brethren

repaired to the banqueting-room , where , after a very excellent supper , the USUE ! loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , and sohe charming music provided for the entertainment of theconpany . It may not be out if place to notice that the founder of Fidelis Lodge , Bro . fjchard , unable to obtain Provincial rank in Guernsey , in ronsequence of the isolated and

unattached position of tie Guernsey lodges , joined a Jersey lodge some years bak , and qualified ^ himself for the purple in that Province and he now enjoys the rank of Past Provincial Grand Registrar in the Province of Jersey , a unique position for a juernseyman , and of which he is naturally very proud . We have been informd that a private meeting of the

Past Masters and leaong brethren of the island was recently convened , who Bro . Balfour Cockburn , P . M ., who appears to have taen up the subject very warmly , earnestly advocated Proincial Association , and succeeded so far as to obtain a proiise that this question should be regularly and formally proposed and discussed in each lodge . ¦ YORK . — Agricols Lodge ( No . 1991 ) . — The

regular meeting of this Idge was held on Monday evening , the 28 th ult ., at Catlegate , when two military brethren were proposed as joiing members and four gentlemen as candidates for initiatio . After other business had been disposed of , a hearty vol of thanks to the Lodge Committee and to all who hadassisted to render the ball , held on the 24 th ult ., so succesful , was carried with

acclamation . The W . M ., Bro . A . M . Vhite , P . A . G . P . ( who was one of the seven founders of te lodge ) was warmly congratulated upon his successful yar of office , which will expire at the end of the ensuing Aril .
