support , and especially the officers , and was pleased to see they had all been advanced a step . Bro . N . Sherwood , P . M . 231 , replying for "The Visitors , " thanked the lodge for the magnificent reception given them . It was a peculiar pleasure to him to be present because he had had the pleasure and satisfaction of seeing the W . M . pass through the offices of the St .. Andrew's Lodge , and there was no officer who had done more
excellently , or who was more popular . He was quite sure they would find in this lodge that under the W . M . the work was as well done as it had been in the other lodge . He begged to thank the Secretary for his kindly New Year ' s greeting conveyed to all the brethren on an appropriate card , and thought it was one of the kindest and most Masonic things he had ever seen in any lodge . They reciprocated those wishes , not only to the Secretary , but to the W . M . and every member of the London Rifle
Brigade Lodge . Bro . T . Poultney Griffin , P . G . Stwd ., also replied , and said that in 1 SC 0 he had the honour of being a member of the London Rifle Brigade , and in iSfii , had the good fortune to shoot into a place as one of the highest scores on the first day of the meeting . He was quite sure that the same tone and esprit dc corps that existed then , prevailed now in the regiment , and thought it was an excellent thing that a Masonic lodge should be established in connection with it .
The Worshipful Master next gave " 1 he Past Masters . " and coupled with it the name of Bro . Green , P . M ., the father of the lodge , who initiated him into Freemasonry , and whom he was pleased to see present . liro . Neville Green , P . M ., thanked the W . M . for so kindly mentioning his name with the toast . He was very proud indeed to respond to it , having had the great honour of being the first W . M . of the lodge . He was
unfortunately away for several meetings , but was pleased to be present again and see Bro . Morris in the chair of Master . The W . M . was one of the rather numerous set that lie had the pleasure of initiating , and it was therefore a gratification to see him attain the chair . He knew the qualities of Bro . Morris , and was sure he would do as well as those who had preceded him . He hoped the lodge would prosper as well in the future as in the past .
Bro . A . McDowell , P . M ., Treas ., responded for "The Treasurer and Secretary , " and expressed his satisfaction at bringing forward a better balance than last year , and hoped they would do something each year for the chapter . Bro . A . Haig Brown , P . M ., Sec , said he was proud to occupy the post of Secretary , the duties of which he would do to the utmost of his ability . With regard to the Masonic Charities , he thought they might congratulate themselves
that during the existence of the lodge the sum of ^ . 1372 had been sent up to the Masonic Institutions . That he thought would compare with any lodge of the same age , and the interest of the members in the Charities was such that they would endeavour to maintain and support them . " The Officers" and the Tyler ' s toast closed the proceedings , which were rendered very enjoyable by the selection of music well-rendered by Miss Edith Serpell , Miss Hamilton Smith , and Bros . Wingrove Ives , and Roland Henry .

support , and especially the officers , and was pleased to see they had all been advanced a step . Bro .
M . was one of the rather numerous set that lie had the pleasure of initiating , and it was therefore a gratification to see him attain the chair . He knew the qualities of Bro . Morris , and was sure he would do as well as those who had preceded him . He hoped the lodge would prosper as well in the future as in the past .
