Die CHAIRMAN * - said there was an old saying that time was made for slaves , but still as there was a train to catch for London he would ask the brethren to drink " The Health ofthe Stewards" to whom they were all indebted , both for the comfort they had enjoyed and the lar ge subscriptions that had been announced . Bro . A . J . Dui'i * FILKR responded , and remarked that the Stewards were highly satisfied with the result of the day ' s proceedings . The brethren then returned lo town . During the dinner the band of the ist Sussex Volunteer Artillery , b y kind permission of Lieut .-Col . LI . Fester , and the Officers of the cor ps , played a selection of music , and in the intervals between the toasts Madame Thaddeus Wells , MdJJe . PauVme Featherby , Miss Mary McClean and Mr . James Budd sang various songs , under the conductorshi p of Mr . John Harrison . Bro . Frank Tool e acted as Toastmaster . The favours worn on the occasion were very appropriate . The jewel was a fivepointed star , with a shield in the centre bearing the initials of the Institution , R . M . I . B ., and date of the Festival . This was surmounted by a Marquis ' s coronet , and suspended by a ribbon , the colours of which were the same as those in the arms of the Marquis of Londonderry , viz ., black , blue , gold , white , and red . Bro . George Kenning was the maufacturer .
