( k ) British Columbia has but six lodges , with a total number of 306 members on the roll . Its financial position appears to be exceedingly prosperous . Its Grand Lodge Fund shows receipts from all sources to the extent of over 7 G 4 dollars ; Benevolent Fund , 49 6 dollars ; the total in the treasury being 192 S dollars ; while the disbursements only reach 700 dollars . The Masonic Temple account gives 726 dollars received , and 191 dollars expended ; the balance of 535 dollars being distributed as dividend among the stockholders . ( I ) New Brunswick . — There are over 2000 subscribing members in the jurisdiction of this Grand Lodge . Its financial state is also satisfactory , the receipts being 2179 dollars , and the expenditure 2040 dollars . ( tn ) Grand Masters' Union . — As far back as the year 1807 four members of each of the three Grand Lodges in Berlin met and constituted a committee to discuss all questions which could be of use to the institution . The result of this was the Grand Masters' Association , which , however , was dissolved in 1 S 23 . NOTES—continued . in one at Morristown in 1777-S . In 1786 a convention was held at New Brunswick , when a Grand Lodge was established with Bro . David Brearley , Chief Justice of the State , as first Grand Master . The latest return in our possession shows a total membership of 11 , 374 brethren , while Grand Lodge has an invested fund of 6500 dollars ( £ ' 300 ) . ( g ) Wisconsin . —At the aunual communication of this Grand Lodge in June , 1 SS 1 , there were present representatives from one hundred and seventy-one lodges . The receipts for the two years 1 SS 0 and 1881 , were in round figures , 5320 dollars ( £ 1064 ) , and the expenditure 4962 dollars ( £ 992 Ss ) . The sum in hand at that date was 2802 dollars ( £ 500 Ss ) . (/;) Lord Coleraine * . —It was during his lordship's Grand Mastership that Grand Stewards were chosen , at the instance of Dr . Desaguliers , the numberbeing restricted to twelve . ( 1 ) Sir Peter Parker was succeeded in 1 S 12 , in the Deputy Grand Mastership , by H . R . H . the Duke of Sussex , who , the' year following , on the resignation of George , Prince of Wales , was chosen Grand Master " Moderns . " ( j ) Lord Harnouester . — Who his lordship really was it is difficult to say ; but he is represented to have succeeded the Earl of Derwentwateras Provincial Grand Master , France , in 173 G , and was succeeded in that office , in 1 738 , by the Due D'Antin . According to Besuchet , he was elected by the four Paris lodges , the Chevalier Ramsay being the Orator on the occasion . ( k ) British Columbia has but six lodges , with a total number of 306 members on the roll . Its financial position appears to be exceedingly prosperous . Its Grand Lodge Fund shows receipts from all sources to the extent of over 7 G 4 dollars ; Benevolent Fund , 49 6 dollars ; the total in the treasury being 192 S dollars ; while the disbursements only reach 700 dollars . The Masonic Temple account gives 726 dollars received , and 191 dollars expended ; the balance of 535 dollars being distributed as dividend among the stockholders . ( I ) New Brunswick . — There are over 2000 subscribing members in the jurisdiction of this Grand Lodge . Its financial state is also satisfactory , the receipts being 2179 dollars , and the expenditure 2040 dollars . There is a Benevolent Fund of close on 123 G dollars ; and 3500 dollars paid up in respect of Masonic Hall Stock . ( tn ) Grand Masters' Union . — As far back as the year 1807 four members of each of the three Grand Lodges in Berlin met and constituted a committee to discuss all questions which could be of use to the institution . The result of this was the Grand Masters' Association , which , however , was dissolved in 1 S 23 . Subsequently , misunderstandings and disagreements having arisen , there was formed this Grand Masters ' Union , for thc purposes of mutual consultation upon important Masonic qu * stions , and for the strengthening of the friendly ties binding the lodges in Germany . A further step has since been taken in the same direction by the establishment of a free confederacy of German Grand Masters , the first meeting of which was held in iSGS , in Berlin , and the second in 1 S 69 , in Dresden ,
