The event had been looked forward to for some time past , and when the time fixed lor the ceremony was at hand , the brethren assembled in considerable force in order to witness so important an event . CONSECRATION OF THE BLACKPOOL ROSE CROIX CHAPTER , No . 136 .

This unique and interesting ceremony took place on Thursday , the 24 th ult ., at the Victoria Hotel , Blackpool , under the direction of III . Bro . Thos . Forrester , M . W . S ., the preliminary arrangements and the furnishing

of the chapter , which were most elaborate , had been carried out in a most perfect manner and left nothing to be de-sired . The Supreme Council in atlendance were 111 . Bros . Col . le Gendre N . Starkie , Grand Capt . of Guirds , 3 . 5 '; J- H . Matthew , Grand Chamberlain , 33 "; Col . A . B . Cook , Inspector General , 33 ° ; Sir George D . Harris , S . P . K . S ., 32 ° ; and Capt . Clement R . N . Beswicke-Ro \ ds , Inspector-General , 3 ; .

The candidates attended 31330 to have the Degress conferred to the 17 th , which ceremony was performed by the Most III . Bro . Sir George I ) . Harris , Grand G . D . C , T , , ' . The ceremony of consecration subsequentl y followed . The Supreme Grand Council , 33 , entered and were received by the Princes under an arch of sled .

ihe M . P . S . GKAND COAI . VANWKR assumed his position and addressed the brethren on the nature of the meeting . The ceremony throughout was conducted with the high dignity appertaining to this High and Supreme Degree . The GRAND CHANCELLOR called upon III . Bro . Capt . Clement R . N . Beswicke-Royds to install the M . W . S . designate , who was presented by the Grand Director of Ceremonies and dul y placed on thc throne aud saluted .

At the conclusion of the ceremony , the M . W . S . thanked the Consecrating Oilicers for their services that day , and expressed his pleasure at the magnificent manner everything had been performed by them , terminating his remarks by proposing they should bacome honorary members of this chapter , which was accepted by all , followed by most gracious remarks from Bros . Col . Li : GENDRE N . STARKIE , J . H . MATTHEWS , and Sir GEO . D . HARRIS .

lhe musical arrangements were under the direction of Bro . Dr . C . H . Whitaker , iS " , who presided at the organ and subsequentl y as accompanist at the banquet . The consequence was that during the toast list many short , but pithy and witty speeches were made , and lhe pleasure of the evening was greatly enhanced b y songs and glees given by Bros . j . 11 . During the evening a most beautiful silver loving-cup was presented to the chapter by III . Bro . Thomas Forrester , the first M . W . S . CONSECRATION OF THE BLACKPOOL ROSE CROIX CHAPTER , No . 136 .

This unique and interesting ceremony took place on Thursday , the 24 th ult ., at the Victoria Hotel , Blackpool , under the direction of III . Bro . Thos . Forrester , M . W . S ., the preliminary arrangements and the furnishing

of the chapter , which were most elaborate , had been carried out in a most perfect manner and left nothing to be de-sired . The Supreme Council in atlendance were 111 . Bros . Col . le Gendre N . Starkie , Grand Capt . of Guirds , 3 . 5 '; J- H . Matthew , Grand Chamberlain , 33 "; Col . A . B . Cook , Inspector General , 33 ° ; Sir George D . Harris , S . P . K . S ., 32 ° ; and Capt . Clement R . N . Beswicke-Ro \ ds , Inspector-General , 3 ; .

The candidates attended 31330 to have the Degress conferred to the 17 th , which ceremony was performed by the Most III . Bro . Sir George I ) . Harris , Grand G . D . C , T , , ' . The ceremony of consecration subsequentl y followed . The Supreme Grand Council , 33 , entered and were received by the Princes under an arch of sled .

ihe M . P . S . GKAND COAI . VANWKR assumed his position and addressed the brethren on the nature of the meeting . The ceremony throughout was conducted with the high dignity appertaining to this High and Supreme Degree . The GRAND CHANCELLOR called upon III . Bro . Capt . Clement R . N . Beswicke-Royds to install the M . W . S . designate , who was presented by the Grand Director of Ceremonies and dul y placed on thc throne aud saluted .

At the conclusion of the ceremony , the M . W . S . thanked the Consecrating Oilicers for their services that day , and expressed his pleasure at the magnificent manner everything had been performed by them , terminating his remarks by proposing they should bacome honorary members of this chapter , which was accepted by all , followed by most gracious remarks from Bros . Col . Li : GENDRE N . STARKIE , J . H . MATTHEWS , and Sir GEO . D . HARRIS .

lhe musical arrangements were under the direction of Bro . Dr . C . H . Whitaker , iS " , who presided at the organ and subsequentl y as accompanist at the banquet . made every brother happy around him . The consequence was that during the toast list many short , but pithy and witty speeches were made , and lhe pleasure of the evening was greatly enhanced b y songs and glees given by Bros . j . 11 . During the evening a most beautiful silver loving-cup was presented to the chapter by III . Bro . Thomas Forrester , the first M . W . S .
