PRESENTATION AT THE MASONIC HALL , DUIILIN . At a dinner in the Masonic Hall , Molesworth-street , on Wednesday evening , the 24 th ult . —Bro . Rev . Ben . Gibson , Grand Chaplain , in the chair— Bro . Henry E . Flavelle , Asst . Secretary to the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ireland , was the recipient of a very handsome presentation on the occasion of his

marriage . The proceedings were of a very enthusiastic character on account of the great popularity of Bro . Flavelle , who , owing to his official position , has been brought into contact with the leading Masons in all parts of the country . After the usual loyal and Arasonic toasts had been

duly honoured , Bro . THOMAS BUTLER , W . M . 153 , Hon . Secretary of the Presentation Committee , read an address , which was beautifully illuminated by Bro . M'Connell . It stated that the happy occasion of Bro . Flavelle ' s marriage gave the Masonic body throughout Ireland on opportunity of expressing and recording their very

cordial feelings of regard for him . They gladly embraced the occasion to assure him of their esteem for his character as a Mason , a brother , and a friend , and their high appreciation of his genial qualities , and the courtesy and kindness that had ever distinguished his intercourse with his brother Alasons , as well as the great ability with which he discharged the important

official duties of Assistant Secretary to the Grand Lodge of Ireland . With the gifts they asked him ti accept was accompanied the fervent prayer that the Great Architect of the Universe might bless him and Afrs . Flavelle with a long , happy , and prosperous wedded life . Bro . W . H . ROIIINSON , W . M . ( 566 , the Hon . Treasurer ,

then presented Bro . Flavelle with a purse of sovereigns and a silver salver . He mentioned that over 700 brethren had subscribed to the presentation , including his Grace the Duke of Abercorn , G . M ., and Bro . Shekleton , Q . C ., Deputy G . M . Bro . FLAVELLE , who was received in the most cordia manner , on rising to reply , said he was most deeply

sensible of the unvarying kindness which had been extended to him during his twenty years' service in the Grand Secretary ' s office , and which had culminated in their too flattering address and valuable presentation . It was gratifying to find that those for whom he worked regarded him with such friendly and paternal feelings . It was characteristic of the benevolence of the Alasonic

Brotherhood to show such a substantia ! interest in his welfare at so important an event in his life . He had been always proud of his connection with the Order , and reflected with sincere gratification on the fact that at no previous period in Ireland had it been so flourishing and influential a Body . He tendered his sincere thanks to one and all for their good wishes , and

especially to those brethren who had so ungrudgingly given their time and trouble to make the presentation worthy of the Order but far beyond his own deserts . Several other speeches followed , and "The Health of Bro . Butler and Bro . Robinson , " who had worked so energetically in the success of the movement was drunk amid great enthusiasm .
