officer in the regiment as well as W . M . of the lodge , and he hoped that members of the regiment who became attached to Masonry would join that lodge , and make it strong in military members . In drinking the toast the brethren felt sure they had a W . M . worthy of their sympathy and admiration in every way , and one of whom they had every reason to be proud . Bro . Capt . W . R . J . McLean , W . M ., said it was an extremely pleasant duty to reply to the toast of one ' s health theoretically , but practically it was one of the most

It went without saying—as many things did which were none the less dear to the heart—that that was an extremely proud moment for him . It had been the object of 11 years ' constant Masonic ambition . When he was initiated u years ago by Bro . Hobbiss , P . draw attention to the fact that the I . P . M . was another of Bro . Hobbiss' initiates , and he thought that up to the present day they had not made a bad show . He was extremely grateful to see so many present—both members and visitors—including many old comrades of their dear old regiment . To those who had the privilege of belonging both to the regiment and the lodge , the connection between the two was one of the greatest things they prized . He was pleased there was some work to be done during his year and it would not be his fault if that work was not carried out to their satisfaction . Thanks to the veiy able and efficient way in which they had been trained io the lodee of
