careful manner in which he had performed the installation ceremony was carried by acclamation , and the Installing Master expressed the pleasure it afforded him to know that the brethren had appreciated his services . Bro . Jamblin said that the W . M ., in appointing his Treasurer . remarked thatjBro . Noah Martin had discharged the duties of that office efficiently and well for nearly a
quarter of a century and he ( Bro . Jamblin ) thought the time had now arrived when the lodge might very well mark their approval of Bro . Mai tin ' s services . M ., in reply , said he fully appreciated all the kindness which had been shown to him . During his year of office they had gone along smoothly and pleasantly , there had becn no angry feeling nor a particle of
unkindness manifested in any shape or form , and the support he had received from the Past Masters , officers , and brethren had been all he could have desired . He was also proud of the candidates who had come forward during the year , and he hoped they had appreciated what had been said and done , and that they would take the teachings of Freemasonry to heart and act up to them in and out of the
lodge . He should very much value the jewel which the lodge had given him , and he felt sure his children would never have cause to regret their father ' s connection with the Lodge of Emulation .
